  • Beef jerky, string cheese, protein bar!
  • I hate eggs too! How about turkey bacon (cook it the night before, zap it in the morning). Also a big fan of the portable EAS protein shakes. Quick and easy - way more protein than eggs. They come in silver boxes. My total go to -
  • It's crazy - but try it with a little French/Western dressing on it and fresh cracked black pepper!
  • Zap cooked asparagus in the cuisinart or blender with a little skim milk and/or low fat sour cream and fresh pepper/pinch of salt! Makes a very satifsfying, (what seems to be creamy but really isnt) vegetarian hearty soup.
  • I preportion taco meat made from the Extra Lean Jennie O turkey. I portion it into ziplocs - usually 4-5 servings to a pound. I eat it several different ways - on a salad, in two corn tortillas (for only 100 cals), in a pita, on baked tortilla chips etc (depending what I have on hand). It's a high protein low calorie meal…
  • All I know is I want you all to be my friends. Cheers!
  • Carrots with hummus is great, or cucumbers with a little bit of your favorite salad dressing? I'm a huge fan of WASA brand crackers with a wedge of laughing cow cheese - Most of my snacks are salty :)
  • Do you belong to a gym? Mine has an upper body only machine. Like a bicycle but just for arms. I'm sure getting around is tough - so maybe arm/shoulder stuff with weights while seated at home?
  • Steel cut oats are way more delicious! I completely agree. Fresh fruit does this trick. To avoid having to slave over the stove to cook them in the morning, I make a bigger batch and freeze a few portions! Makes all the difference when I can just throw it in the microwave.
  • You're gonna love this place (as a former CalorieKing gal myself). And I'm excited to see more men! Congrats on making the commitment to yourself.
