Making health AND ethical choices :) Knowing where my food comes from, visiting the garden it was made in, and supporting local businesses. To me it means every ingredient that is going into my body is nutritious. That is more important to me then the calories!!

My favorite thing to do with tofu is a ginger marinade, which is just gluten free tamari, sesame oil, and tuns of ground ginger - and then fry it up! If you're going to take it, mix it with water and drink right away!! There are other ways to get fiber though, which are better than psyllium! Im almost always close to double or more of my fiber intake need, feel free to add me and check out my diary if you want :)

DEFINITELY worth paying extra for!! The amount of hormones they pump animals with is horrible - and that is going into your body! Not to mention the horrible treatment!! I pay extra for clean, healthy, organic foods from local health food stores. working at a health food store has made me realize it is veryyyy important!

it's not necessarily calories, but what the calories are from (same goes for fats). Super processed food, such as mcdonalds, is bad for you.. your body cannot use this as fuel, it will just slow you down. I try to remember it will pass, and then take the day for myself! -I like to relax, move slow, have a cup of coffee while I watch something. Roast different veggies (asparagus, peppers, onion, ect) and chop them up, throw in some quinoa, a little sesame oil, soysauce/braggs/tamari, and ground ginger... yum!

And I agree with the comment above, talk to your doctor before supplementing with iron! (Unless you do not eat red meats or egg yolks, which are the best absorbed forms of iron. plants have iron, but it isn't as easily absorbed)

Yes you should take a multi vitamin!! Its a great base for good health.. I recommend Mega Foods - they have a specific multi for men. The product is made all from foods so your body recognizes it, and absorbs it up to 10x better than some of your regular vitamin brands. Hope that helps!

I know a lot of people are all for the stay within your calories and all will be good theory, but I honestly don't agree. To me, health is more important than weight. I could stay under my calories easily filling it with processed weight loss products that are made in a lab, not a kitchen. Sure, you might lose weight, but…
