  • Wow! Incredible results! I think you look amazing just the way you are now without the extra bulk. :)
  • 6'1 here and currently 155 and just trying to maintain. I was 148 last year but that was a bit too thin for me. :) Good luck on your journey and feel free to add me if you'd like. :)
  • Bump to save for later. Thanks for posting, they sound delicious!!
  • ♥ this post!! You look incredible! Great job!!!
  • I have been very successful with the Paleo way of eating. Check out www.everydaypaleo.com and www.marksdailyapple.com for some good, low-carb recipes. I started out by purchasing the Everyday Paleo cookbook from Amazon last year and I still use it almost everyday! In fact, we are having the grass-fed, organic meatballs and…
  • LOL LOL That is exactly what takes place at my gym! And the starved baked potato... I can't quit laughing!!!
  • You'll get a variety of opinions on this one--this topic often erupts into a heated debate! In my own experience, I happen to lose weight the quickest when I'm careful about staying within my MFP recommended sugar limit. :)
  • Amazing transformation!! You are beautiful!!! Here's to your new life ahead :drinker: Thanks for posting your inspiring story!!
  • Hey Spartangirl, you and I are pretty close to twins!!
  • I need a twin too!! :) I'm 31 years of age Height: 6'1" Shoe size: 10.5-11 SW: 180 CW: 156 GW: 148-150 (small bone structure. I was 148 last summer but gained a few pounds over the holidays.) Anyone my age(ish) and height with similar goals?
  • Had to keep going back again and again to read because I couldn't see through all the tears! Thank you for sharing and congratulations on all that you have accomplished. :flowerforyou:
  • I am a runner too and I eat the Paleo way. My best half marathon times were while I was on the Paleo diet. I guess you'll never know if it's the right eating plan for you unless you try it! Give it 30 days and see if you like it. If not, go back--no harm, no foul. :)
  • I love the Paleo diet. It makes sense to me and it works for me. I've lost weight, toned up, and I'm more energetic. I am a fitness instructor and I exercise intensely about 10 hours a week, and the Paleo way of eating works for me (yep I had to say it again!). It seems restrictive at first, but there are so many tasty…
  • I'm too tall also. :( I am 6'1" and 156 pounds. HW was 180, but trying to get back down to 150 where I was last summer. Good luck!!
  • Your hard work definitely shows! AMAZING!!! Very inspiring.
  • I got started by buying this cookbook: http://www.amazon.com/Everyday-Paleo-Sarah-Fragoso/dp/098256581X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327951488&sr=8-1 There's a whole lot of info in the beginning of the cookbook about eating Paleo, there's some awesome recipes, and in the back, there is a 30 day meal plan and shopping list.…
  • mmm... the breakfasts on that website look delicious! I'm trying to cut back on my sugar right now, just until I lose the few extra pounds I gained over the holidays, and then I will give them a try for sure!
  • haha Hangry, love it! Yep, I get it too, but I notice that it's much worse when I'm eating a lot of sugar. Less sugar for me = more stabilized moods. :)
  • I'll add you! I need more friends too. :)
  • Pure Protein bars are my favorite too! I subscribe on Amazon to get them delivered automatically for a discounted price. I eat 1-2 a day in between meals. With a full glass of water and a Pure Protein bar, I usually stay full for 2-3 hours.
  • I would love to have ^^this^^ much variety for breakfasts! Unfortunately, I don't like eggs or seafood--I really tried to stomach them for a while to see if I could get used to the taste, but I just couldn't do it! So my breakfasts are usually kind of limited. I do occasionally have some bacon, avocado, and tomato wrapped…
  • ^^I second this^^^
  • Hi there! I just joined this group and this is my first post! Anyway, I eat organic apple slices dipped in almond butter every morning for breakfast. Seems to keep me energized throughout my morning workout--I do boot camp rather than CrossFit; it's very similar although we focus a lot more on running/cardio. Anyway, being…
  • Try Paleo recipes. I love this blog: http://everydaypaleo.com/ and I would highly recommend the Everyday Paleo cookbook as well. Lots of great recipes!!
  • You are totally lucky if you are repulsed by brownies and chocolate cake! I wish I had that problem!!! For me, I hate eggs and seafood. I can handle pretty much anything else. :)
  • I love the Paleo diet! I can see how someone who can manage to make healthy choices by themselves may not need to eat strictly Paleo; but for me, I need the Paleo guidelines to stay on track! Paleo is so healthy and natural, and I feel so good when I consistently eat the Paleo way. My favorite cookbook on this planet is…
  • ^^^THIS^^^ I love that my man has hair on his chest and face!! He shaved once and I didn't like it at all.
  • I LOVE Costco! In addition to their amazing fresh meats and produce and their awesome frozen fruits and veggies, try out their frozen berries. Blend 3/4 Cup of frozen Rader Farms mixed berries with one scoop of Cytosport whey protein (also at Costco in the nutritional supplements area!) and water for a snack that will keep…
  • Thanks for sharing! That was so informative! I had to bookmark the youtube video! If only more people would watch it. I recently took a nutrition class that focused mainly on sugar so I cut it out of my diet and dropped almost 30 lbs in a few months (went from a size 10/12 to a size 2/4). Now I eat the Paleo way with only…
  • Not only is protein essential for your body, protein helps you stay feeling full longer so it's easier to stay within your calorie goals. So whether you are supplementing with whey protein or getting your protein from food sources, protein is an important part of everyone's diet. I personally eat Pure Protein bars or I'll…
