Hey folks! I've been off and on the site for a couple years but I finally hit my breaking point a couple months ago. I've been active ever since. I've changed my eating habits(not calling it diet), I log consistently, comment and post status changes. I've also turn my love for techie stuff into gadgets to help me keep…

You're definitely not alone. I've been on this roller coaster the better part of ten years now. I think I've finally had my "enough" moment and I'm ready face this obstacle course of better choices. Anyone who's motivated as well feel free to add me.

As I type this I have a newborn sleeping on my chest and it's 4:45 AM so I definitely understand your plight. I don't get up nearly as much as my wife but I do all that I can. My advice is you may have to alter your workout to fitness activities. For example I used to think the only way to workout was at gym. That's just…

I'll be adding a few of you as well. Looking forward to winning together!

Me too! I been on here for a good bit and I've seen the scale go up and down. I'm finally sick of it! Feel free to add me.

I wish you the best! Sorry to hear about your mother as well. I've been on an off of here for a couple years now. It's time to pull ourselves together!

you can add me too... I sit in front of computer as well and have about 70 more pounds to loose. I've been on this roller coaster for about 10 years and I'm so sick of it. I finally feel like it's time to change my life.

My yard isn't the biggest but I can never mow and edge the yard on the same day... I'm just too worn out by the I finish mowing to edge. Well over the weekend I did both in one day! My next door neighbors were out of town on vacation and I cut and edged their's too! This new found energy is amazing!

wow... secretly I'm a data geek so this is actually pretty impressive

I've looked at that scale a few times... so EVERY time you weight it syncs with MFP?
-
Interesting method... I think I'd drive myself crazy by doing that
-
I completely agree... I've attempted this site many times over but without really making and committing to a lifestyle change I've never lost more than 10 or 15 pounds. Or I'll go 6 o 7 weeks and quit. Well I've finally committed to doing better and it shows!

similar thing happened to me... great for you!

I'm 6'5 and l lied to myself for years... in my lower twenties I was around 230. I lived an extremely active and healthy lifestyle. By the time I was 28 I was divorced, depressed and in denial. By 30 I had ballooned over 300 lbs to 330 lbs. I went on a few yo-yo diets but I didn't change my lifestyle. It wasn't till my 35…

It's an addiction... I'd be willing to bet that an ex-alcoholic will tell you they think about drinking all the time and often times one decision away from picking up a bottle. I believe in the end it's embracing your struggle and make it work for you. Refocus that energy in positive ways for you. I enjoy food... it's a…

I actually tucked my shirt in for work all last week. The only other time I've tucked in the last few years was when I wore a suit jacket to hide all the rolls. Plus all my belts are on their last loop!

I think this is one of those question where if you ask 10 different people you'll get 10 different responses so here goes the 11th  This is my second time around using MPF. The first time around I think I got hung up on the numbers aspect of it and ultimately burned myself out. This time around around more than…

Great Great Job! I have a friend who has a similar story... He went from a husky guy to a competitive body builder... I'm so happy and envious of him at the same time. :o)
-
Great Job! Have you changed your eating habits too?

In my first month I lost 15 lbs. This is the first week of month 2. My goal was 2 pounds a week but I guess the change in my WHOLE lifestyle shocked my body during the first month. I don't expect to keep to keep this pace up.
