This is nonsense. Everyone "fasts." Some people just fast longer than others.

Repeat this with me everyone..."Keto is not magic." Anyone telling you it is a full of scheet.

If I have one bit of advise it is to not jump head first into some boring and restrictive "diet" or you will fail. If you stay active and burn more calories than you eat, you will have success. It truly is that simple.

For a cup (146g) of avocado there are 12g of carbs and 10g of those are fiber. I wouldn't sweat it. I focus on 30g NET carbs and have never had issues staying in ketosis

No, it's not bad for you. I eat 7-8oz of 80/20 ground beef almost daily.

I had a S1/L5 (lower back) spinal fusion back in 2006. My surgeon mentioned I was developing early stages of arthritis in both my lower back and hips. It has bothered me more and more each year, but like some of the others have mentioned, you need to stay active. I have found that leaner I am the better I feel. Also, I try…

I was comparing eating out on keto vs a low fat diet. No where did I state or mention that low fat was the alternative. Stop assuming thats what I meant.

Oh i'm by no means saying its impossible, it just can be a struggle at times. That is unless you ask that no oil or butter be used. I have spent many years working in various restaurants and tons of oils and/or butter and sugar is used most cooking.
-
I'm sorry for the confusion, I was referring to someone on the low fat diet.

This sentence from that article couldn't be further from the truth. While a ketogenic diet can be hard for some people (most people quit after a week or two), it is actually pretty easy to follow, especially in a 2:1 ratio. I can go out to eat pretty much anywhere (besides italian) and adapt and still eat keto. The…

Get some crystal light mix or Mio and mix it in a gallon of water. Makes drinking water a bit easier for most people. Also if sucralose or artificial colors/sweeteners bother you, there are all natural options as well.

My initial comment wasn't meant to single out carbs as the culprit. They are eating in excess, period. I'm not sure on exact studies at this time, but in both the LCHF and keto communities where everyone is "low carb", almost everyone is very active. Exactly, "yo-yo dieters". They are just looking for a quick fix and never…

I don't think this is some ground breaking conclusion, as most people who monitor there carb intake are already active. I don't know of any so called "low carb couch potatoes." The average american who stuffs their faces with high amounts of carbs are overweight and thus lazy, burning less calories.

Quick question. How much water are you drinking a day? The reason I ask this is a lot of the time, we mistake thirst for hunger. And if you are ever feeling really thirsty at times, you are already dehydrated. So with that being said try to stay hydrated throughout the day and it can/will prevent feeling hungry all the…

LMAO funniest comment Ive read in a while :D

People need to remember, the ketogenic diet isn't a magic weight loss diet like some of you believe. If you are eating more calories then you are burning you will not loose weight.
-
Another thing I wanted to add is that if you are trying to loose weight, one of the most important things you can do is try to be consistent with your eating. I don't mean eat the same things day in and day out, but be consistent in the marcos you are consuming. If some days you are eating 50-60 grams carbs and others 100+…

No where did you mention protein. You seem to solely be focused on carbs and fats. Also, just cause it's the weekend doesn't mean you cheat. Cheating on the weekend can sabotage your progress.
