  • I had a goal weight in mind according to bmi calculator and an ideal weight chart for my height but I really concentrated on small goals of 5 or 10 pounds. I was way too overwhelmed with the thought of a big weight loss and felt I could achieve smaller goals easier. I always felt good when I reached those small goals and…

  • I had nice full boobs (38D) before my weight loss. Now I have deflated, saggy boobs (36C, no volume). I hate my boobs now. My husband said to just get a boob job but I can't justify the cost when we have one starting college soon. I wouldn't trade the weight back for fuller boobs though!
  • I was very skinny all my life (weighed 96 lbs when I got married!) and I could always eat what I wanted and didn't gain weight. I was a picky eater and food wasn't important. When I met my husband, he got me to try new foods and then my love affair with food started. I slowly started to put on weight. I had my first child…
  • I know what you are saying OP but I do think if you are in a job where you are continuously walking (mailman/woman, factory worker, construction, or whatever) then you could consider that your cardio. I run every day and walk at least 12,000 steps on top of that. I only count the calories burned during my run and not my…
  • I'm 45 also. I hated to exercise but started with just walking 20 minutes a day. I used MFP and logged EVERYTHING I ate. I was surprised how many calories I was actually consuming a day, much more than I thought. The weight started to come off, slowly. As I saw my body changing, I became more motivated and started running.…
  • I would never spend a whole day cheating/binging but I have had a cheat meal every now and then. If I go and eat a cheeseburger and fries for lunch then I'll eat a very light meal at dinner (salad or grilled chicken) and vice versa.
  • I have an egg before I workout/run. I get nauseous if I run on an empty stomach, especially if it's really hot/humid. I wouldn't eat a full meal before a workout/run.
  • Same as everyone about running earlier. I also find shaded places to run. Such as an older established neighborhood with mature trees. It helps a lot to stay out of the full sun on humid days.
  • I hated running at first (really hated exercise period) so I just walked fast. Then I started to run a little then walk, then run, etc. Pretty soon I was wanting to run more than walk. I now run 2-3 miles a day and love it. I didn't want to run this morning , just tired from the weekend but did anyway. Once I was out there…
  • I was on metformin 7 years ago and lost 25 pounds without even trying. I was pre-diabetic. It suppressed my appetite but also upset my stomach, especially when I ate fatty foods.
