I understand. I am 5'9 and 140 ish and I want to lose around 10-15 more pounds. Completely healthy and normal. People are already commenting on how I appear "sickly" and I can definitely still pinch an inch on my stomach. Crazies

I weighed myself at 147 on Jan 5. I weighed myself at 151 on Feb. 27 and I weighed myself at 155 on March 20. So not too often. just three times in 2015. Thanks for the info! I'm feeling lots better now.

Thank you for the input! You have definitely helped to ease anxiety.

I drink at least 64 ounces of water a day (usually around 80 if I run)

Does that mean that the weight gain is just muscle? I'm so bad at this I'm sorry :#

yes!

I can curl up into the most adorable/comfy positions in any chair (airplane seats for the win!). I have always been able to do this (never technically overweight, maybe for a few months in middle school) but now it is much more comfortable, and I have only lost 17 pounds! As a 5'9 woman, that isn't much - but enough to…

Wow, thank you for posting this. I am apparently from an African country with a low BMI. It really put things into perspective for me.

I am 5'9 and 145 (estimate). I would personally want to get below 130. We are in the same boat! However, nobody has called me too thin. I still have arm fat, belly fat, and thigh fat to lose. I have no idea of your body composition, though, so it would be difficult for me to give you a definite answer. My advice would be…

So gross and time consuming. Eating at a caloric deficit is more effective and even easier (in my experience).

I just started college and I don't have access to a scale except for the old fashioned type in the gym (no thank you!) and so I have been forced to rely on measurements and how my clothes fit, which has been amazing in the long run. I'll weigh once per month or so when I go home to see my parents. I used to obsessively…

I had been dieting for 40 days (average 1200 per day) and my period was 2 weeks late! It freaked me out at first, but it was just my body adjusting to new fitness levels and caloric intakes. So yes, it is very possible that your diet is affecting your cycle.

I don't think so! I am 5'9 and my goal is in the 120 area. I am small framed though, so I couldn't give you a definite answer! Whatever weight you feel your best at, reach for it :) good luck!

Hi! I'm 5'9 and I haven't weighed myself in a month but last time I weighed myself I was 153. My next weigh in is coming up on Friday and I am expecting to be 150 or less. Size 6 jeans, size 4 everything else! Small tops. HW: 165 SW:160 CW:150 GW:130 UGW:122

For your second question, squat.

I have been using a treadmill for almost 3 months now, my legs are SO much more toned. I would recommend running outdoors because it's far less boring (for me, at least!) but you will reap the same results with both! I have had to use a treadmill because living in Charleston, up until recently it has been beyond hot and…

Congrats on getting so far in terms of your goal! What you are doing now seems to be all the right things. You are still eating at a deficit, so I would be very surprise if you started gaining weight. If you strength train during your workouts you can gain weight in muscle which is not a bad thing! I'm not expert by any…

When I lay in bed (as I am right now  ) my hip bones stick up severely. Also a pair of size 6 Limited dress pants fit very loosely on me!!

One time I had an entire jar of Nutella over the course of 2 days. I think it was 1800-2000 cals? Whoops.

At least 10 lbs, I have my goal set to lose 2 lbs per week, but so far I've only lost 1 lb per week doing so. I'm not upset about it, any weight loss is good!

Yes! I am on my 29th day of 1200. I find it pretty easy to stay within those parameters. I'm never hungry.

I am in awe, what amazing dedication you have! If this doesn't inspire me, nothing will. Amazing. Congratulations.

5'9 weight: 145 Pant size: 4 Shirts: s I hate the whole vanity sizing thing, and I wish that all stores would provide true sizes too. I would rather call myself an 8 and actually be an 8 then to call myself a 4 and actually be an 8 because stores have total inconsistency when it comes to that sort of thing.

I haven't talked to my doctor, I've always been in the "healthy" weight range so my doctor never brought it up. Doctors, from my experience, suggest weights for me where I know I won't be happy with the way I look. I haven't brought up the 120-128 lb thing because even though I know I won't be/appear unhealthy at that…

Thanks for the replies, very helpful! I am a size 4 in clothing right now, my goal is to be a 2. Anyone else in the same boat?

First of all, I know this isn't what you want to hear but don't try to be a certain way for somebody else! If you want a thigh gap for you, then that's great, get that thigh gap for you. Now that I've put in my two cents, I'll answer your question :) Running is a really great way to tone up legs. Start running daily or…

I am new to "real" running (meaning that I actually want to do it and I have set goals for myself). After one month of training my longest distance was 5.01 miles at 6.1 mph. When i started I could run 1.5 miles comfortably, though.
