  • That's my brithday too :drinker: I'd be happy to lose 10 pounds (or more) by Christmas. I just started another round of Turbo Fire last night so I have the workout schedule covered. I do need to focus on my eating and make better choices. If I can do that then the 10 pounds should be easier.
  • Fran, I was nearly to goal at the time I did CLX so I didn't lose much, but I did tone and lose inches. It's hard to say what your body will do. Just give it some time. It's a 3 month program and each month has it's own goals so try to stick to it the whole time. I did follow the program, but I used turbo fire cardio…
  • I don't care for the bands so I didn't even try. The object of CLX is to lift heavy for low reps. You are supposed to push yourself to reach failure in those low reps, so you might surprise yourself and need more, especially for lower body moves. I don't know if they sell 30-40 lbs adjustables but they do sell 30 pound…
  • That would probably help. Thanks!
  • The program typically comes with bands, you can also buy those if you want. I prefer weights but she does show you how to use the bands.
  • Not grip but my hands hurt when I have that much weight. I've talked to others who have the same issue and gloves haven't helped. It might be my hands. I'm also ok with sticking to 25 lbs on the few moves that I might be able to go higher...that or I'll invest in some stand alone 30's someday.
  • You do need two for the program.
  • You could just search on amazon - search for adjustable dumbbells. I know when I was looking I did look there. They might be a little more expensive but if you have gift cards then it might be worth it to just go through that site. 50 pounders will be more money obviously. These ones I posted can go in 2.5 pound increments…
  • Really? Cause I couldn't see having more than 25lbs. I could do more for some of the lower body moves but my hands can barely hold the 25 lbs.
  • This is what Heather and I have, and probably what pp is talking about, http://www.walmart.com/ip/Gold-s-Gym-SpaceSaver-25-lb-Single-Dumbbell/21695182.
  • Hi all! I'm in the middle of my recovery week. I'm lovin this program. It's tough and pushes me. I've previously been a Chalene Johnson fan (still am) but have a new love for Shaun T. They are different instructors and both have their reasons for being awesome.
  • kiekie - have you gotten resolution yet? If not shoot me a message and I'll try to help. I just restarted this program. I did it last summer and go through the first two phases. My 3rd disc didn't work and I just lost the rhythm and didn't complete it. I'm determined to complete it this time. I've only done 2 days, will do…
  • I will continue...I mean I got the treadmill and everything!! But, I had ear surgery on Thursday. I was hoping for only a week off but it's looking like closer to 3 weeks. Whenever I get the green light I will be starting back up with week 2! Keep up the good work everyone! I'll join you as soon as I can.
  • Week 1, Day 2 complete! Nice pic in your ticker courneymal17. :drinker: Go Wings!!
  • I did W1D1 last night and it felt great. I could jump up a week or so but I think I'll stick this out. I'll do the first two weeks before my surgery and hopefully the week off after that won't be too awful.
  • I'm doing on in May for sure - I've already signed up for that one. I'd like to do one before then though. I haven't even looked beyond the beginning of February to see how far this program takes me.
  • Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. One or two books would likely be all you'd get through as they are LONG, but there are currently 7 books in the series. I'm just about done with book 5 and still hooked. It's a little bit of historical fiction, time travel, love story, and a few other things, all wrapped into one…
  • I have it but I've not done it yet. I bought it when it was on sale.
  • I'd love to join...I need some motivation. I'm 142 right now. I'd love to lose 7 pounds but I'll aim for 4 by Christmas! Thanks!
  • But it's just pointless to say that. Sure, a shop job is a shop job. Bring in another company and they can do a different job. The problem is that there is no other job. It's not as simple as to say they have an easier time donig another manufacturing position when there is no other manufacturing position. They will have…
  • True about Detroit. Also, the shop jobs that you think it's oh-so-easy to repurpose is not so easy. It doesn't happen quite how you think it does. Sure, some shops get repurposed, most are torn down. So, instead of moving that shop job to another industry it is simply just gone. It's happened to quite a few shops that I…
  • Another Lions fan here!
  • Except it's already starting. I don't follow college football much, but I do know one of the PSU players has already pledged to transfer to UM. I am sure some of the players will just be out, but those that have talent and will go on in life in this arena will find a place to play no doubt. There is always room for…
  • I'm conflicted on this. I want there to be a way to give father's similar rights to what happens to a child or sack of cells. What it really boils down to for me is that the woman has to carry the child. It's her body, it's her choice. There really should be nothing more to the story at this point. I don't like the idea…
  • They may be allowed to make whatever rules they want but I can speak out against them. I don't have boys so I wouldn't have my children involved with them anyhow. I do have friends with boys who've already stated they will not let their kids be a part of a group that is so openly bigoted and discriminatory.
  • Always call. Always err on the side of caution for the kids. If I suspected something I would not hesitate to call CPS. They are there for a reason. They will investigate and they also cannot tell any information of the caller. This just makes me sad.
  • My girls love dandelions. They pick them all day as soon as they pop up, until they are mowed. We don't live in an HOA, we live in the city. If we don't mow, the city sends us a letter. If we don't shovel the sidewalk, the city sends us a letter. If we have trash all over, the city sends us a letter. All much the same way…

  • This exactly. I feel like its a bit ridiculous but it is what it is. I don't lose any sleep over it. Hey, if I was a superstar athlete I'd enjoy the millions too.
  • This is how I feel although I haven't thrown myself out there yet. I don't know why but I feel more comfortable on the treadmill at the gym. I think it'll just take once outside then I'll be more ok. I just need to do it. Maybe I can convince myself of this this weekend. I'll be starting week 3!
