Granted it's been a few years since I was at that stage but that was not a possibility. They could care less if your parents contributed to your schooling, they required your parents income for loan qualification purposes until you reached the 'special' age that THEY considered you an independent student.

Turbo Fire!! Love it! Pretty much what everyone else said about it. I am entering my 3rd month of ChaLEAN Extreme now. I love this as well. Not sure what I'll do after finishing ChaLEAN Extreme. I might do a hybrid of the two, or something totally different.

The problem with a lot of doctors is that they'd rather prescribe something to take care of the symptoms, not get to the root of the problem. I've had sinus and ear issue for a long time, what happens, I get allegra-D and flonase, both just mask the problem. So going to my doctor does a whole lot of nothing. I've asked…

I am currently doing this. I am in my second week of the elimination phase. I've lost about 4 pounds this past week. I didn't have any intention of losing on it, but it just happens. I am having a hard time keeping my calories up because I'm picky. I don't like most cooked veggies. I'm doing another week of the elimination…

No, it doesn't excuse the behavior of the children. I was talking about why she might not have stood up for herself. I don't think anyone is excusing the children.

I'd like to live where you are if your schools get those things. I don't think all teachers should start out making $50K a year, but if you put in your time and are a good teacher - why do you have to take a cut because legislators need their money or businesses need their cuts? If the sacrifice was shared as much as they…

She was interviewed, I watched part of it. She said she still had to watch the other kids and she just tried to not listen to them, which she was successful with at least part of the time. The video clip is 10 minutes long. I assume it went on longer than that. She didn't do a very good job at getting them to stop bullying…

I had the same shin issues. It could have been just starting, but I bought new shoes and tried to concentrate on how I was running a bit more. No pain or soreness today, after wearing the new shoes last night. No, no - if you are in pain you don't push. That will hurt you more. Something that could have been easily rested…

Michigan is far from in danger of using up all our natural space. The problem I see with the policy of "when things are tight, you have to prioritize" is that the priorities are set by people who are corrupt, have outside interests, and simply don't know enough to make the right decisions. There is A LOT of waste in gov't…

Your friend must not know that she could have called and gotten you switched to having her as a coach and still recieved the commission. As long as it's close to the time you ordered that is done fairly regularly. Just remember there is a 30 day money back guarantee. Personally, I liked the shakes but it did…

Thanks. That was sort of what I was thinking, and hoping I was right.

I am 32, female as well. I have assumed resting heart rate to be my HR while not moving, but does it make a difference taking it during the day or first thing in the morning when you've not done any physical exertion. While not working out my heart rate is typically about 60. I have done Turbo Fire. My average heart rate…

I am just starting out as well. I'm not necessarily a runner, but have always had an appreciation for it. I was a sprinter in high school for a bit but found that long distance was more my thing, just before I fell off running completely. So, now I'm trying to get back into it. I have completed a round of Turbo Fire this…

Agreed on all of it. :flowerforyou:

Love some of the ideas. I used to always blow dry and straighten my hair. Took a lot of time and I'd really much rather be sleeping. Most days I just wash and condition. I just throw it up in a bun and eventually it makes its way to a ponytail. I occassionally leave it down curly. I use curl mousse, I think Tresemme. I…

Revenues are declining for various reasons. To get a balanced budget you need to cut costs or increase revenue. It doesn't seem that the lawmakers want to try the things that will increase revenue; jobs, increased taxes, stimulus - so they have to cut costs. There are many areas that costs are being cut but they can only…

I have given up pop for some time now. I do have it now and then but I try not to make a habit of it. I cut it just because there really isn't anything good to it. It's an empty calorie. The teeth benefit is an added bonus! I like really cold water so I try to keep that on hand, either water in the fridge or having ice to…

We are the opposite. I can buy $10 worth of strawberries (which is a decent amount right now) and it's gone in two days. If I buy $10 worth of 'white' food it'll last a week. The strawberries are healthier, but I can't afford to spend $70 just on strawberries for two weeks. I can afford $20 of pasta, bread, rice. And while…

Most receptions I've been to had them. We had one at our reception. Between that and the gifts, that pretty much just paid for the party itself...which is really all it was, a party. We got married in Vegas then came back and had a party. It's fun and lets you get to talk to everyone because you don't always get a chance.…

I workout when my girls go to bed. I have 4 1/2 year old twins and they typically go to bed about 8pm. I get my workout in then. I could probably do it before they go to bed now as they can entertain themselves but i don't. I've been doing this for a couple years now. It works for me. I eat dinner when I get home from work…

If I could get rid of the lingering remaining layer of fat on my belly (and hope the twin skin firms up) I will not care a bit about the tiger stripes. Mine aren't too awful though, just a few on my belly and maybe one or two elsewhere.

Meatless Taco Soup in the crock pot. 3 beans, rotel, corn, taco seasoning, water. Mmmm! Garnish with sriracha, cheese, and sour cream. Love this stuff!

I was alluding more to the TIME cover saying I'm less of a mom because I bottle fed, I know that came across weird. I really don't care about what people do so long as they aren't abusing their kids. There are far, far worse things you can do to your kid than BF them until they are 5 (or whatever). I will usually try and…
-
I guess if you are saying that we should aspire to the act of breastfeeding being normal I would agree. If you are saying we should aspire to bottle feeding being frowned upon I will strongly disagree. To each their own. I have my opinions about preschoolers BFing but it really doesn't matter. I do take exception to being…

My happy weight was 129. I'm not sure that's even possible. My goal was originally 140, which I'm at. I would be ok losing another 5 or so, just depending on muscle, inches, how I feel. Who knows. I won't make it my goal, but if I end up there then it is what it is. At this point I'm more concerned with losing fat and…

Makes perfect sense! That is how I understood your proposal to be.

A lot of good information in here. Bumping so that it's in 'my topics'. This is something I've needed to do for awhile but I'm not prepared for it yet.

Actually, I kind of can. No one would be saying their ceremony isn't valid. The church would be saying they don't recognize a marriage to be valid unless a ceremony is performed there. To me it's similar to the Catholic church requiring an annulment (sp?) in order for someone to get remarried there. They don't recognize…

That would make it a bit more expensive, which might help lessen the failed marriages, not that I really care about that. As for the religious having to have their say, the church can always say to their members that they have to have a ceremony and classes (that has to be paid for) in order for the church to recognize…
