I was skeptical at first, but I thought I'd give it a try. I've been on it for three and a half months. What I know personally about KETO: * I have lost 28 pounds (not shabby for me) * My husband, who usually shuns my diets, has lost over 50 pounds. * My husband, who is diabetic, no longer needs his medications (per his…

Thanks! I went to Rite Aid and got moleskin. I'll try it out tomorrow!

Closed- I used to be open, but I don't like people judging me by my off days. Maybe when I lose a great deal I'll be more likely to open it again. But, I've only lost 10 pounds and it has taken me forever to do it. Like others mentioned, I'm more honest when it is closed. I probably should not have connected with people I…

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who answered me this morning, especially amused Monk. I thought a lot about your post. I was getting ready to go to Planet Fitness and took a good hard look at my shoes. I love my Nikes, but they are 10 years old. I wear them everywhere - including the gym. A few years on the…

Amused - Thanks for asking - It's a couple things my breathing is a big one, the bottom of my legs and upper feet, and I use the HR monitor and I checked and it was 146 which as a shocker because I'd done higher speeds the week before and not been as high. After that, I began thinking maybe I need to slow down, so I…

Well, I am an "undertall" person lol. I'm 5 foot one inches. So, maybe that is part of it. Not sure.

I finally took the plunge and joined over a month and a half ago and I love it. I'm not having weight issues with the weight not being enough because to be honest I'm so out of shape and sedentary that sometimes 10 pounds on some of the machines makes me think my muscles are going to go on strike. Thank you to everyone for…

No. My dog is in his kennel at night. He is also not allowed on furniture or even allowed to enter my bedroom. He stops at the door and does not go in. He was very uncontrollable when we first got him. However, now that he has a kennel and consistently expected behaviors, he understands his place in the pack. Some dogs…

I love it when my friends post recipes. When I was on here previously I lost almost 50 pounds and I credit a couple of friends posting their healthy recipes and links on Facebook. Some of the recipes are incredibly bad for you. But, that's just like life. You are going to see good and bad food for you food. In the end, I…

Thanks! This was a very helpful response! Where do you buy Brooks from?

I weigh myself every night and morning. I've learned a lot about my body. I look for downward trends. When I have a three pound or even one pound uptick, I know it isn't real because I know I haven't gained a pound in 12 hours!

I have also found that more and more restaurants are adding under 550 or under 575 sections to their menus. So, if we do stop on a spur of the moment, I know exactly what I'm getting into. Having MFP on my iPhone is also very helpful because I can look up the exact number on a fly. I was happy to know I could do date night…

You are doing great!

I just don't like milk - except in something else. But, to sit and drink a glass of milk yuck - unless it is chocolate. I will eat cheese and I love cheese. But, I can't tell you how many gallons of milk have gone to waste in my frig. To each his own I guess.

I normally use Nike+, but some of my friends are talking about using this for minichallenges. I wonder if I can use them at the same time on my phone.

How tall are you? You have almost the same starting weight as mine (mine was 272, though MFP was 264) and I was thinking the 150 range would be great to get to.

I was so excited she was coming back on. But, she probably went a little too far. She had something to prove. Though, to be honest, it's like the prison yard thing. You go in and take out someone and the rest live in fear of you. What bothered me though was that because Jillian did that, the guy I felt really bad for ended…

eggs Seriously, before my two week break I was eating eggs for breakfast every morning and losing weight. My typical breakfast is scrambled two eggs with a couple of pieces of turkey bacon and some tuscan cheese and mushrooms thrown in. I used to skip breakfast. But, eating breakfast really changed the way I feel during…

Thanks for all of the things to think about. I'm going to go check it out on Saturday. I was not planning to be a body builder or anything, but I have a lot of abdominal fat and lost a lot of muscle there when I was pregnant years and years ago. I just gain there and it comes off there last. I really want to work on…

Is that extra or is it part of the package? I was paying 44 a month at the Y. Then, if I wanted to take a class it was only a couple of dollars less than non members. After a while, it just got frustrating. Do they have trainers there?

Recognize your patterns. This has been the single most important factor in my motivation. Your body has crazy, weird patterns. Well, at least mine does. I can go a month without any loss. Then (I weight myself every day) I'll lose weigh every day for several days. Then, I gain a pound or two. I used to quit at that stage.…

I only do this on football Saturdays because I am horrible about chicken wings. I love them. I know, regardless of whether I have breakfast, I will want a lot of them. That's really the only time I skip breakfast. Really, I blow 70 calories a day on coffee creamer. But, it's my splurge thing.

Steak and eggs isn't a horrible choice. I have eggs for breakfast most mornings. They keep me feeling full every morning. Sometimes I'll scramble them with chicken sausage and mushrooms for a yummy under 400 calorie breakfast. Sometimes, I'll poach them and put them over top of 35 calorie toast and have turkey bacon with…

I turned 41 last year. My children are nearing adulthood. One is an adult the other is near. :) I have more free time than I've had in years. I've been able to invest more time and energy into my own happiness. The 40s are great so far!

Run Zombie Run is a lot of fun, but I don't use it often. I use my Nike+ app most of the time. I love it. I can see a map of my run with speeds at different points in the run. It helps with setting goals etc. Since it is an iPhone, you don't need the special shoes, just your phone and the app.

When I was curvy and thinner years ago I used to wear Chic jeans. I hope they are still around. When I lose the weight, I'm sure I'll want them again. They felt good around my curves. Never found any that fit as good as they did. Chic petite, because I'm also only 5'1 which makes finding clothes even harder.

Hi, I just want to reply to a couple of things. "I can use the money" is not my only motivation. I started this thing back in May. I just wanted to clear that up so I didn't look too shallow. But, then I thought you know I'm doing this anyway, I may as well try and win the contest. The contest just started this week so it…

Your BMR isn't your final calorie indicator of how many calories you should eat. There are other factors. I found this online to explain it. Harris Benedict Formula To determine your total daily calorie needs, multiply your BMR by the appropriate activity factor, as follows: If you are sedentary (little or no exercise) :…

This is a tough one because I'm in the same situation. I've only lost 32 pounds. But, I am seeing things so much differently than I did before. Because I'm trying to improve myself, I see the things in him that need improved. My fear is losing the 130 I want to lose and then, he hasn't lost any and we can't do anything.…

I feel the same way. What did you change that enabled you to lose so much weight so fast?
