Lord of the Rings. Definitely. My fiancé hates to read but he loves lord of the rings. He's recently really into the series "a song of ice and fire" which is also extremely good. This one has a ton of characters and it a little overwhelming the first couple chapters but it's totally worth it and ends up being easy to…

That sounds pretty lame of your best friend... I don't mean to reinforce negative energy - but I personally would be pretty hurt if my best friend even considered picking a guy over our friendship. Maybe instead of being angry and getting mad, let her know how disappointed you are that your friendship means that little to…

I totally agree with the straw comments. I notoriously was HORRIBLE with my water intake. My fiance's family used to make fun of me and always give me toddler cups at dinner because they knew I wouldn't drink anything with my dinner. I bought a 24 oz nalgene bottle with a screw on straw top and I'm drinking over 200 oz a…

My favorite protein shake: 2 scoops vanilla protein powder 1/4 cup pumpkin puree 1/4 cup skim milk 1/4 cup vanilla fat free yogurt 1/4 tsp pumpkin spice 1/4 tsp vanilla half a tray of ice BLEND SOOOOO good :) I have these year round!

This just sounds amazing - thank you!

I tell myself that I have to wait to eat until afterward. Food is always good motivation :)

I always log the night before! It keeps me on track and keeps my macros in check and it has been really successful so far! I also know what to pull out of the freezer to let thaw overnight :) Also, if I log more than my allotted calories for the day - I know how much exercise I'm going to need to burn it off. Then I can…

I'm not *technically* a rock climber - but I do embark on some pretty crazy hikes out in the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Some definitely involve hoisting 30 lb packs (and yourself of course!) over huge boulders to get to the summit....does that count? :P

this sounds delicious! thanks!

Maybe give greek yogurt a try? You can sweeten plain greek yogurt with something like truvia and add dark chocolate chips to it :) That should be pretty low cal but also give you a sweet kick!

These look yummy!!

I miss nutella :( I can hardly ever fit it into my macros

Oh yum!!!! Has anyone tried it with egg whites??

Oh yum! Dinner for tomorrow night perhaps!

No carbs = bad idea. You need them for energy! I eat a lower carb diet, 30% carbs, 50% protein, 20% fat. It has broken a very long plateau for me and I'm losing weight quite well - mind you, I exercise like a fiend too. I honestly would start with small goals. Instead of rushing into cutting out ALL carbs from your diet,…

Feel free to add me too! I log on every day and plan to even when I get to my goal weight :)
-
I'll send a FR too :) I'm 7 pounds away from my goal weight! I'm super active (especially outdoors), extremely dedicated to exercise and my diet, and I LOVE MFP!

I'm so happy with my p90x results. Im in the best shape of my life! I haven't tried insanity yet - but I'm sure I'll try it at some point. If you're looking for strength and lean muscle (not bulk) - go for p90x If you're looking for endurance and better cardiovascular performance - go for insanity

I broke my plateau by really paying attention to my macros (% carbs vs % protein vs % fat). I decreased my carbs and increased my protein and started to lose again. Make sure you're also getting plenty of water and fiber!

I use dymatize elite and it's fantastic! It tastes great and trainer/nutritionist approved. I did a lot of research to find this one and I have absolutely no regrets. Many people recommend it too :)

I'm currently eating 30% carbs, 50% protein, 20% fat. Feel free to friend me if you'd like! My diary is open to friends :) I do a lot of egg whites, cottage cheese, plain Greek yogurt, lean meats and enough complex carbs to maintain a vigorous exercise regimen!

I was AWFUL at oblique v ups when I first started. I found that it was painful to sit on my hip like that. Turns out I just needed to practice them more. Start doing them with your knees bent on a very very cushy yoga mat (double it up if you like) and then over time as you get stronger, extend the legs. I also find it…
