Anything by Micheal Pollen, also the China Study is good, or Real Food Matters by Mark Bittman.

I grew up in Europe, we ate potatoes, vegetables and fish or small piece of meat. No fast food, no processed food, applepie on birthdays. No pop. And we didn't drive everywhere either, bicycles, or publuc transit. This was in the dark ages. When I came to the States I promptly gained a lot of weight... Now I eat vegs,…

I just made this 10 minutes ago: 1.5 cup frozen fruit, 2 ice cubes, 1 cup water, 1 banana, 1 T flaxseed

I did look at your diary from yesterday and today, and you might want to lower your sodium intake. Add more vegetables and fruit, there is a lot of fat and cholesterol and sodium in dairy products, including cheese. But most of all persevere, you are seeing results and that is awesome.

I think it does matter what I eat. When I eat simple sugar, that is all I want to eat then. Have you watched Forks over Knives? Its interesting.

I love them. Cup of Kale or Spinach, add 1 banana, frozen fruit, flaxseed, water.

Fresh fruit smoothies, almond milk latte's, rice/beans, almonds

Thanks for the info, I am starting that once I have my new work schedule. I ride the stationary bike now, but I think the spin class will be lots harder.
-
Add to: Cooked Lundberg wild rice, canned chopped tomatoes, cooked chopped carrots, chili's, cumin and a little sea salt.
-
I think it is hard, because it is rewarding to see results. But you will, are you eating whole foods? I.e. unprocessed stuff, vegs, fruits, whole grains, watch your salt intake... I am sure you know all that allready. Persevere!

That is great. Way to go

I have an Oster with a metal drive, it can do frozen fruit. I want a Vitamix...

Consistency Logging my food Excercise daily Being concious about what I eat Water Inner conviction/outward results

I know it's hard, but could you perhaps just focus on healthy whole food and excercising at a level that is comfortable for you and enter all that into MFP and see what happens? Since your metabolic rate and calorie intake is already calculated, that should work fine. Focus on eating real food, no processed foods and see…

Abdominoplasty is major surgery and it is not uncommon for abdominal incisions to heal slowly. I would try all other avenues first.

I believe the sugar in fruit is not a problem, when compared to the sugar in anything processed. I have a smoothie every day for breakfast. I always start with a cup of raw chopped Kale, 1 cup water, add 1 banana, flaxseed and 1 other fruit, i.e. berries, or an orange or a grapefruit whatever I have.
-
1 cup Kale, 1 Grapefruit, peeled and seeded, add banana, blend with a cup of water.

Awesome! Congrats

HTN runs in my family and I don't want it.

Real Food Matters by Mark Bittman. It is great. It is not a diet book either.

In a blender: 1 cup blueberries, 1 cup strawberries, 1 cup mashed bananas, 1 Tbs flaxseed, 1 cup Kale, water. Blend. Yum
