Steel cut oats made with water, add any kind of frozen berries, and flaxseed. Fruit smoothies, although it's too cold for that at the moment.

Welcome, if you like to read, I would recommend reading "Sugar Nation", its available on Amazon, and written by a person who had diabetes and how what they ate and how they excersized effected their disease process. I found it super informative.

That's me! I can't have a cheat event, because it just spirals into a tray of cookies at work! Sad but true. So, now I just stay on my plan and I am almost back to where I was 3 weeks ago.

Thank you for your replies. I am going to up my calories to above my BMR and less than 20% of my TDE and see how that goes, before I started all this I was eating a lot of sugar (cookies and things at work) and not too much real food. So I am working on changing all that.

The trainer at the gym told me I had to eat more too, but its hard, since eating more is what got me here to begin with. I am adding more protein and I am eating a little more than I was. I hope it will help. I am not convinced that my intensity of my work outs is all that high. I can't run due to an injury, so that is why…

I do not know the answer to your question, I have similar stats so I am interested in what others think. I am 47 y.o 5' 3" CW 154 GW 135 BMR 1364 TDE 1994 - 20% = 1595 I often eat between 1100 and 1200 calories and do not use my excersise calories, I think that MFP estimation of my excersise calories is high. I am not…

I am doing Chisel and Body Pump, does anyone have any idea how to log that under excersise?
-
Welcome! And good luck, although it mostly takes routine

I use the weight lifting entry (you can find it under cardiocascular). And I use 10 pound weights, I just started last week, it takes time to build up to higher weights as fas as I know. I am doing Body Pump at my local gym, and it is the first time ever I have lifted a weight, since lifting patients at my job doesn't…

I agree, stop eating simple sugar all together. Add protein and fruit, veg, complex carbs. I can't eat sugar in a simple form, (cookies), because once I do, that is all I want to eat.
-
Congratulations on your loss! Way to commit to being healthy. Have you considered looking at your sodium, fat and other macro's? Perhaps really concentrate on eating complex carbs, I started doing a weight training class and it is more intense than lifting on my own. I want to reccomend any books by Dr. Essylstein and Dr…

Read Esselstyn's book! Become vegan or or if you can't stand that vegetarian.
-
Hi there! I am vegetarian, leaning toward vegan, and there are lots of complex carbs you can eat. Vegs, fruit, steel cut oats, I make a lot of things for dinner that include whole grain (Lundberg) rice, sweet potatoes, black beans and things like that. Feel free to add me if you like. I can sent you some recipes and the…

Protein shake for lunch B complex vitamin

The only ings I can think of is hummus, you could make your own, although some commercial brands have no added oil, but they are harder to find.

WooHoo congrats!

I walk my dog 4x a day on the days I do not work, for 20 minutes each time and I also go to the gym x5 days a week and do something different there each time. Sometimes I ride the bike, or do the elipitcal, or hills on the treadmill, as long as it has variety for 45 minutes. I do a pilates/yoga class x2 a week. I like it…
