MacDougal - low fat plant based diet. very diff from soy zone in that it highly favors starches over protein. large reduction in oil and fat, no olives, peanut butter, nuts, tofu. this is a restricted vegan diet. Ornish - i believe this 1 is low fat and some people think it is too fat restrictive Soy zone - seems fine if…

are there choc chips in the muffin mix too? (I noticed you only add 1 tablespoon of choc morsels, so I assume there are choc chips in the mix too, right?) Something like this for only 100 calories, sounds incredible!

McD's Mocha frappe....the small is 450 calories. Gggrrr, wish they would have never added these to the menu. I'm sure it is just awful and has no redeeming nutritional qualities.

My favorite place is allrecipes.com. They have a healthy section and a section under ingredient for Vegetarian from which I have added quite a lot of recipes. Also, give food.com a try. ask if the gym has a personal trainer. They will often give you a session for free. You could also just ask advice from the staff for recommendation on a workout regimen. I find people are usu quite helpful and eager to provide assistance.

it's not ok. It took me being friends with a naturally very very skinny person for this to sink in for me. She described what it felt like for people to comment on her appearance. What some people even felt was a compliment, often hurt her feelings....like OMG you are just so skinny or OMG eat a cheeseburger and put some…

You are going to have to put your foot down with this person. He is controlling and here's the problem, he is use to harassing you to the point where you give in. The 1st time you stand up and really dig your heels in will be the worst. At the restaurant, turn the tables on him. You prob feel like the situation is making a…

eh, people wanting to include you and that is upsetting you? Granted, no one should eat fast food everyday but eating out with people is a part of life - and good part I might add. You can fit in McD's or Burger King into your daily caloric allotment, ya just can. McD= 1 cheeseburger and 1 small fry is 550 calories (i…

I am in Epidemiology and constantly bombarded with the negative effects of obesity and the positive benefits of exercise. It is thrown in my face daily. Really, how can I ignore so much overwhelming evidence?

i *think* we may become more aware over time that hey, I am thirsty! On the path to health involves working out too, so I think we require more water than previously to replace that which we are sweating out of our bodies.

I do better calorie-wise having liquor and a diet drink vs wine. I love wine and champagne, but have put them on the back burner for a while. I'll have champagne for New Year's tho.
