  • Stay away from porcessed foods, and cheese. I love cheese but it's really high on the sodium count, but a little won't hurt you :) You can have tons of veggies and fruits all day long! While I was pregnant I remember chowing down on celery, carrots, mushrooms, heads of lettuce, grapefruits, oranges, grapes and so on.…
  • Welcome to MFP and well wishes to you on your weight loss journey :) Actually I weigh myself daily. You'll hear pros and cons to both sides, but it helps keep me in check with my progress and set backs so I can better assess my daily food intake. Sometimes I weigh in a few times a day. I don't feel obsessed about, but I…

  • It's really easy to listen to and watch other people make big changes weight wise. It's really so important to focus on you. If you're over weight and you want to lose it, then as hard as it may be, you need to zone in and focus on you. What really needs to happen is a life style change - changing what you eat and when,…
  • I'm sure some people see changes with certain drugs, while others see nothing. Honestly though, if a change is seen while taking them, then what happens after? That weight is put right back on. The only true way lose weight is to be good to yourself. Eat healthy and exercise. Weight loss should be a journey for life, not…
  • :flowerforyou: 10 pounds is a lot of weight!! What great news!! It feels soooo good, keep on going :)
  • My only advice is this: You didn't step up to the plate and let your firends know it would bother you if you did something. If you wonder if it will hurt them, then say something. You don't have to ask their permission, but being honest and up front is important with friends, period. Just state the fact and let them…

  • Welcome to MFP and well wishes to you on your journey. :flowerforyou:
  • Good for you! You can do it. But, make sure you do it for you and not for the acceptance and approval of your family :)
  • I grill mine. I place the fish in tinfoil add the herbs and lemon and lime flavorings I want, add mushrooms, onions and snow pea pods and grill it. You can use the tin foil method in the over as well. That will reduce all the butter calories. :flowerforyou:
  • This is fabulous! Nice job being consistent. Well wishes to you on the rest of your journey! :flowerforyou:
  • I too suggest looking over your food lists for the week. high levels of sodium will make you retain lots of water. :flowerforyou:
  • Listen to your body. If you want to try and do some low impact cardio, then have at it, but if your sore and achey and don't feel up to it, then take that break. :flowerforyou:
  • Welcome to MFP and well wishes to you on your journey through weight loss! This site does offer simple easy to use tools and the support from MFPer's is top notch! :flowerforyou:

  • It does depend on how much you have to lose, lighter people tend to lose less... while bigger people can lose more weight in a short amount of time. I've been losing about 20 pounds a month, but it's tappering off as I get closer to my goal weight. You can do it, but make sure you do it in a safe fashion.
  • Way to go!! You're diong such a great job!
  • That is fantastic!! You've done a wonderful thing for yourself, and I have no doubt that will continue :)
  • My cut off time is 6pm. This goal was an easier one for me than others. I'm all cold turkey, it's all or none. :flowerforyou:
  • That's fabulous! You're doing well on your changes. Stay consistent, dedicated and motivated and you will get there. Welcome to MFP and well wishes to you on your journey! :flowerforyou:
  • I don't blow it on the weekends! But I bet it may have something to do with where you're most comfortable. It sounds like you've formed habits that need to be changed.
  • I have one and love it! The best way to get the most efficient answer here is to wear a heart rate monitor. It really depends on intensity and length of work out. I do jumping jacks, jogging, and just other nonsensical bouncing around.
  • Hey Michael, Welcome to MFP and well wishes to you on your journey!!! I started mine at 428 pounds :) Hoping for a safe return from surgery! Take care of you :flowerforyou: Ami
  • I love haring these things! You're doing an incredible job! You will see ups and downs, so be patient and remain consistent and dedicated and you will reach your goal. Rock that scale!!
  • I have noticed that the servings on the can used to read 2.5 and now read 2. Inflation...
  • Don't hold guilt! Don't remove foods that you enjoy from your life either! You haven't had it in so long, be proud that you didn't have 3 or 4 slices, or indulge every day! You're doing such a great job, keep it up! :flowerforyou:
  • That's fabulous! Welcome to MFP and well wishes to you on your journey. :flowerforyou:
