I assume you have the HMR taiolered to your body stats. I vote for HMR! :drinker:

Everyone's body is very different from the next. Below 1200 calroies will not throw you into starvation mode... But you really do need to be careful. These questions should really be answered by a dietician or doctor.

Yes, those pesky scales.... :) Great job BTW! I love when my clothes are just too darn big. You should sell this and buy a new one.

That is amazing! All of these little things we do for our bodies, add up so quickly!! This is great motivation :) You are going to do fantasticly! Good luck :)

Raising the body temperature will help burn some calories, as far as sitting in a sauna for long lengths of time is certainly not a good thing for the body. There are always pros and cons to everything. Do your reasearch first, here say does not count :)

You all may laugh but I actually watched my first episode of the biggest loser last night! (I don't have cable, haven't for years...) Ummmm WOW! so in my mind if these people can run up mountains then us large curvy people can do insanity, or salsa, or even run up mountains! Try it and then tell us how it goes :)

I am in the same boat as you. Some women were born to be large breasted. I've lost a total of 238 pounds before joining this site, I'm still a DDD. Enjoy it! If it does really bother you, then a breast reduction would help you with this.

Oh, I know what you mean! It's difficult when there's no telling what's in your food. Sounds like you made some great choices, where active in other ways and in the end it all payed off!

Actually... By setting a routine, your body then adjusts to a schedule and then begins to rely and count on it. This forms at some point a pleatue. If you're constantly chaning your work out times due to your work schedule, you tend to confuse the body. This tends to create a slightly higher metabolism and there fore your…

Sometimes I grab my law book and just jump on the treadmill late at night while my kids sleep. I suggest trying a few things, maybe even force yourself out of bed early just 1 morning to see if it's something that may work. My grandmother always told me while growing up (I'm still growing up I know :)) "What's stopping…

Use the scale at the place you weigh yourself most often and stick with that one :) For me, it's my office scale.

Count me in :)

This is not diet related. But I really enjoyed "I'm a Stranger Here Myself" by: Bill Bryson He has some really great books out there. Funny and very witty! Great for a slow comfy afternoon ... I actually do a LOT of reading while exercising...

It's very very rare to actually have loose skin after dropping weight. Most people confuse loose skin with flabby skin with fat in it. This can be toned with weights. Actual loose skin is teeny tiny little ripples in the skin, this also can be toned with light weights, but it does take time. I've lost a total of over 200…

I started with walking at 3.8 and jogging at 4.5. and worked my way up to walking at 4.5 and running at 7. It took a while to get there. Listen to your body, it's really the best gauge for anything! Keep up the great work! :flowerforyou:

Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes- but some days were a bit under. Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes. What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Made homemade bread, walked 4 miles on the treadmill, volunteered at the local soup kitchen and took my children snow tubing. What would I have done…

I do agree with others. I try to keep myself as busy as possible in the evenings. I'm in my comfort place when I'm at home... any bad and or old habit I had will try to worm it's way out. For a few weeks, I decided I would do all of my laundry in the evenings and that I would do part of my work out at night too. I find…

I wear fitted clothing: Sneakers, Lycra socks, stretch pants, cotton underwear, supportive sports bra and a fitted t-shirt or long-sleeve stretchy shirt. If I'm going to outside I wear fitted clothing that wicks the sweat. Not only is it more comfortable to move in clothing that is stretchy and close fitting, but it's…

I love walking. I walk for 60 minutes on the treadmill at a speed of 4 incline of 5 every morning. At work we recently brought in some weighted medicine balls. we so far fave the 2 lb and 6 lb. We use these throughout the day, I also sit on an exercise ball for a chair and every morning I do 100 sit ups. We also do an…
