I just hit my 2 year surgiversary and had my doctor check up. My labs were perfect and I am consistently hitting my 100 grams of protein daily using a shake. I LOVE Premier Protein shakes in chocolate. I still have one every day for lunch. 160 calories and 30 grams of protein, you can't beat it. Tastes like chocolate milk…

My mind still doesn't catch up with my new body size. It still never occurs to me that I can buy something that will fit in any store I go into. I've gone from a tight size 22 to a size 10 pair of jeans last week. It just blows my mind.

Hitting Onederland is a very special moment for so many of us! Enjoy it. I'm coming up on my one year anniversary and so badly wanted to hit 100 lbs. gone but I'm at 94 lbs. and that is okay. 100 lbs. gone will come and that will be exciting too but Onederland after 20 plus years was magical.

I can only eat 2 oz. of protein - meat/fish at a time, 1 egg or 1 oz. of cheese. I will hit 4 months out this weekend and can still only add literally one to two bites of vegetables to my meal. I make my protein goal of 60-70 grams a day everyday but i usually drink a Premier protein drink 30 grams of protein for my…

You will get there! I was only on liquids for a week and by day 7 on soft foods. Getting in my protein has always been my priority. At the beginning I grazed all day, as I couldn't eat more than an ounce to an ounce and a half at one time. I am two months post-op now and I still drink a Premier shake every day for lunch to…

I used a shaker bottle to make my Nectar drinks for the first 4 days post-op. I didn't have the clumping problem but they were so sweet I could barely get them down. I had a much worse time with the Bariatric Advantage protein shakes that I was supposed to drink for 3 days, they made me want to gag. I went on soft food day…

OMG! Thank you so much for the explanation and the solution to the problem! I have been through every setting change or update or refresh I could think of. My husband uses MFP too and we could not understand why my completed diary would not post. Very irritating to say the least and I don't know about anybody else but I…

I take my vitamin B12 as a sublingual dissolving tablet. It is 1000 mcg I take it twice a week and it is from Bariatric Advantage, it came in my post-op vitamin pack. I have bought a huge bottle from BJ's for 16.99 with a 3.00 off coupon. Nature's Made sublingual but it is 2500 mcg and I will only have to take that once a…

I have been on "real food" since day seven post-op. I had broiled tilapia, shrimp, and lobster tail with no problems. You might want to try some tuna fish for lunch one day and see how you react to the texture. I think you should be able to eat fish with no problem but each of us is different and we tolerate foods…

I had taken my measurements two weeks prior to surgery. When I hit a stall at three weeks post surgery I redid my measurements. Yippee! Scale hadn't moved but I had lost any where from 1/2 inch to 3 inches off every spot! Made me very happy, especially the three inches of my waist!

I just hit 5 weeks out last Thursday. I have lost 26.5 lbs. since surgery and I'm excited everyday! LOL! I hit a stall at three weeks out that lasted ten days so I had to stay away from the scale and now I've lost 5 lbs. since. Trying really hard to use the scale just once a week and not always succeeding, but that's okay.…

Premier chocolate shakes are the reason I can hit my liquid and protein goals! They are the only protein drinks I seem to be able to tolerate and they are the best tasting drink I have found. They remind me of thick chocolate milk. They have 30 grams of protein in 11 oz. of liquid. Kroger has coupons and sales on the four…

My surgery was an out patient surgery, went back at 8:00 am and was in my car headed home at 11:30. This included a tiny hiatal hernia repair and he does a leak test while the patient is still sedated. My surgeon is a specialist and has performed over 2000 surgeries. He and his partner have their own surgical center…

Miralax or it's generic will work to help avoid constipation. Miralax was recommended by my surgeon for any post surgical problems.

I use bot the lemon and the caramel from Bariatric Advantage. I like the caramel the best tastes like a Sugar Daddy. I didn't care for the chocolate flavor but my husband had no problem eating them. LOL.
