I understand you completely! My mom and sisters are always poking fun or critiziizing my healthy lifestyle. My family (meaning me, my husband and our two kids) try to eat local produce and organic when we can. We also cut out all red meat and eat cage free chicken. Everytime I go to their house or we have a family get…

I would love to see the Hall of Famer get one more win and go out with some glory but I don't know that he can get the job done. GSP is an amazing athlete and Shields better be ready for a true fight!

You need to be sure to eat back your exercise calories! I know it sounds counter-productive but you truly need to eat those calories. When you are exercising hard your body needs fuel . If you don't eat your calories, your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose anything.

You guys will love P90X! I've completed 4 rounds (roughly 360 days) and I'm in the best shape of my life! Just stick with it and push through your comfort zones and you'll see great results!

I'm in my 4th round of P90X and from experience anyone can do it. The key is to modify it to work for you! It is an intense workout and listen to your body. If you can't make it thourgh each exercise or even each video don't get discouraged because eventually you will be able to do it all!

I completely understand. I'm a stay at home mom and although my kids are older, what doesn't change is putting off doing things for yourself so that you can do things for your kids! This is a great site and you can learn so many things from everyone on here. I was 140 when I started and my ULTIMATE GOAL (which I never…

My husband likes to sabatage now and then too! My vice is cupcakes! I have yet to meet a cupcake I didn't like! My advice is show him how strong and determined you are about changing your habits and muster up all your willpower and just stay away. Even one or two a day is going to sabatage your healthy eating. The more…

Welcome to this fabulous website! I've been using MyFitnessPal for almost a year and it truly changes the way you look at food. Knowing that you have to put that cookie or slice of pizza into your food log makes you think twice! Best tip is to make sure you are eating enough calories and exercise, exercise, exercise! Just…

This is a great place to start! Make sure you track your food and exercise. Be sure to eat most of those exercise calories! Need motivation friend me and I will do my best!

SPARTANS ALL THE WAY!

Welcome to myfitnesspal! You've joined a supportive group that is working hard just like you to maintain a healthy lifestyle! There is so much great information on the site and many people to help encourage you along the way!

Everyone needs support and motivation so feel free to add me to your friends list. I'm much better at motivating other people than I am myself! My husband and I have the same kinda thing going on now too. I agree it's always frustrating to see pounds melt off him while I've been stuck for weeks at the same weight. The one…

Ab Ripper! I'm never in the mood for that one! :)

Hi there To answer your questions properly more information would be needed. Your age, height, weight, the amount of calories you eat daily and how long you have been eating at that level. Also body transformation can occur without weight loss (aka loosing fat while building muscle) so using caliper measurement or tape…

Knowing that once I'm done, I"ll feel like I've accomplished something for the day. And I agree, getting to eat more is a big plus!

Well first, try to be postive about the three pounds lost! Don't look at that as a bad thing, you are now three pounds thinner. Way to go! Second, be sure to eat ALL your calories (or close to it) everyday! I was doing the same thing you are by not eating my exercise calories and it had the opposite affect. My body had…

I suffer from the same thing and have since I was a kid too! I know how you feel in the mornings but remember it's always the worst in the morning (especially right after you shower). Eczema never completely goes away, it's just the number of flare ups that decrease. I had a flare up several years ago and the best advice I…

Now that's what I call a good day! Hey I see by your goals listed you are almost to your April 2 goal weight! Way to go and keep working toward that goal!

Welcome to MFP! You are gonna love this site. Great way to journal all your food and exercise and everyone is very supportive and have some great tips! I was just in Nashville this past weekend and had way too much food! Nashville BBQ was just too much to pass up!

If you workout in the morning it boosts your metabolism and make you hungrier during the day.

Thanks jenken99! I actually have to go grocery shopping today so I'll pick some up!

Hey we all need to vent sometimes and we all have those times when we lock our healthy lifestyle in the closet and let loose. I had one of those times this past weekend! You have acknowledged that you had a few bad food days. Now don't let it take over and give up. A few bad days isn't going to ruin a lifetime of heatlhy…

I am starting P90X tomorrow! I'm a little nervous about it but and motivated by the result photos!

Thanks for sharing that scripture! I'm going to hang it on my mirror to remind me everyday.

You just need to make sure you burn more calories than you take in each day. Get yourself a heart rate monitor. It will tell you how many calories you burn during a workout and track your heart rate to tell you if you need to amp it up or slow it down. Keep diligent track of everything you eat. You will see results!

I agree with everyone else....go with a Polar. They are fairly reasonably priced and work great. Mine cost around $100 at ****s Sporting Goods and it tracks everything!
-
The best thing I can say is, be patient! The weight didn't go on overnight and it's not going to come off overnight either. You look at yourself everyday so you may not see the small steps you are making. Take photos of yourself to help track progress. You may need to adjust your diet or workout. Make sure you enter…

Don't just go by pounds, make sure you are taking your measurements too. For two months, I made sure to only eat my daily calories, worked out 6 days a week and didn't see any changes. Then I took my measurements and had lost two inches off my waist! While you don't have to eat the calories that you burn each day make sure…

Just remember that even if you have a bad day, you can get back on track tomorrow. Having a bad calorie day or even weekend doesn't mean you have to give up on your new healthy eating plan. We all have our moments of weakness, it's what you do to rebound that makes you stronger! Exercise can help relive stress and tension…

I'm in the Columbus area too! Small world! You're gonna love MFP, it really helps keep you on track and motivated towards your goals. Plus everyone on here is in the same situation so everyone is super supportive!
