It shouldn't hurt to take a week off from exercise but make sure you stick to your food regime. I find that during mine exercise actually makes it easier to handle. I may not have the initial energy but once I get up and get moving I feel much better. I notice the benefits mainly in cramping. However, if you feel…

I bring salads and leftovers most of the time. When I make dinner I try to prepare enough for both my husband and myself to have enough for lunches that week. Grilled chicken, pork chops, lasagna, taco bake, anything really.

Have you taken measurements? While you may not see movement in the scale you can see a loss in inches. It's also possible that eating only 1200 a day and exercising that you aren't eating enough. Do you eat back your exercise calories? Maybe try eating at least half and see what happens. Good luck to you!

You look great and have done a fantastic job, keep up the great work! I just got Zumba for my Wii since I can't fit classes into my schedule, seeing your results just makes me want to work harder. Thank you for being an inspiration!

I fill in as I go, I don't want my whole eating day planned out first thing in the morning because sometimes I have no idea what I am going to be having that day. I bring in my whole weeks worth of lunches to work so I could say this is for Monday, this is for Tuesday, etc etc but in reality I am going to eat what sounds…

I haven't read any replies so forgive me if I am repeating anyone. Are you married/seeing someone? How about a date night? You could go bowling or ice skating or mini golfing. Make it a special night where you go do something that you would not normally do on a date.

I do shift work so it all depends on my shift. Right now I work midnight to 10am so I do my workout after I wake up, around 10pm. When I work 2pm to midnight I work out after work, so at midnight before bed. When I work 8pm to 6am I work out after work, at 6am before bed. If I work a day shift all bets are off, getting up…

A better vacuum so I will push the thing around a bit more often. Exercise and cleaning all in one fell swoop.

Bump, I have been wondering that myself.

Switch out food for water, that way your free hand and your mouth are still kept busy.

In my opinion, the majority of weight loss comes from your diet, exercise is just an added bonus to help. When I first started I only watched my diet and did not extra exercise outside of my normal daily activity and I lost 8 pounds. I have heard (can't remember where but it wasn't a medical journal or anything like that)…

Wow, that's a bit of a b!tchy thing to say. From what I read her motivation is to be able to tell this jerk that he can shove it. Also, maybe the event is in 10 days but she has been working on losing weight and getting in shape for the last 6 months. That can make a difference. Sounds to me like someone shat in your…

During the winter months I take my kids to the mall to walk around and for the play areas for them to run around. My community center also has an indoor track that we can walk/run on if needed. A PP mentioned never saying "finish all the food on your plate" to your kids and I think that really depends on the child. I…

I haven't read the whole thread so if I am inturrupting a debate I am sorry. I only log cleaning when I actually clean the whole house, which to be honest isn't all that often. Between 2 small children, shift work and rarely seeing my husband, cleaning is way down on my priority list. The dishes are done daily along with…

They also have some great prepackaged items by thier deli, salads, sandwiches, roll-ups and the like. They are a little on the big side but you can always split them up into more than one meal.

You mean taste wise? I find Propel to be a little on the sweet side which is saying a lot since I put 1 1/4 cups of sugar in a 2 quart pitcher of kool-aid.

I believe you should eat an extra 300 calories per day during your pregnancy and breastfeeding. If you are indeed pregnant I suggest setting your goals to maintainance and then adding 300, that should keep you gaining at a healthy weight. Congrats if you are1

Make your own, get some protein powder and almond milk to mix together. If you are wanting smoothies just look up some recipes on-line and find which ones you like best. You don't have to spend a ton of money on all these new fangled systems, your local grocery store should have everything you need.

If your little one is old enough to be eating finger foods then I would start doing cereal and toast for her for breakfast and then while your at it make some for yourself. I do a lot of smoothies for breakfast as another poster mentioned, I cut up all the fruits the night before so that it's very simple to throw…

I would say all holiday treats are like kyrptonite but the biggest one for me is lemon meringue pie. My mom makes the best pies in the world (personal opinion of course ;) ) and I must say that is my favorite. A very close second is mint holiday pie, mint flavored whipped cream on a graham cracker crust.....yummmmmm!

I agree with this, it all depends on how weighing daily will affect you. You are the one on this journey and you are the one who has to deal with seeing the number on the scale. If you can't handle seeing it daily then don't weigh yourself that often.

Just continue to be yourself, you will find Mr. Right Now and Mr. Right Forever by doing that. The right guy is going to have similar interests as you and he is going to want a girl that he can hang out. Not having had a boyfriend at 19 is not a sad life. I never had a boyfriend until I was in college and even then my…

A bald or closely shaved head or very toned shoulders, preferably on the same man. For food, lemon meringue pie. Drool.

Congratulations! That is such a hard hurdle to overcome, I had to have a baby in order to quit those damn things. I am so proud of you and you should be proud of yourself! Congratulations again!

It's not that hard to eat like normal on shift work, there are still only 24 hours in a day and you (general) only sleep for 8 of those. I work 4 ten hour shifts so here is how my week looks. Mon - work midnight to 10am, eating breakfast and lunch at work, nap from 11a to 3p then have dinner with family around 530p, go to…

I agree with this. Don't stick around until he puts you in the hospital or worse, kills you. Don't stay until he starts emotionally and physically abusing your son. Don't stick around waiting for him to cheat again. Get out and don't look back. If you need help go to your local police department, they can and will give you…

This^^ While I agree with this it isn't what I do. I just log midnight to midnight because while I work a midnight shift I do not keep those hours while on my days off. Luckily I don't start work until midnight and I typically don't eat breakfast until I am at work. For instance, I am at work now eating lunch. I woke up on…
