Hi. I'm fasting today. Haven't been running for a week as I have allowed my inner couch potato to trot out excuses. To hit my October target I still need 9.75 miles. Looks like I better get on with it!

After whinging about no progress 10 days ago, the scales have deigned to register a loss. 2lbs this week. Also need to ckeck some measurements as there was a woman with a curvy waist in the mirror today. As a dodo! The support email team asked me to do some tests but took my word for it when I said nothing worked and despatched a replacement v quickly. I sent them a screen shot of my amazon order as evidence of purchase. It was impressive customer service.

I started 5:2 today. Had 500 cals across the day finishing with a protein shake to get me through the evening. Tomorrow will be "normal" and fast again Weds. If all going great I may put in an extra fast day on Sat. I'm hoping that focussed bursts will suit me better than current practice of managing 3 or4 days then…
