I think their prices are outrageous, but people really like them. They sell out all the time. I've also heard their customer service is kinda rude and I find Sarah Bowmar to be somewhat rude as well. Just my take.

For me, calories overall, then protein. I let fats and carbs fall where they may, but I always hit calories and protein

Agree with ceiswyn. Toning means building muscle, however, you can't build muscle and lose weight at the same time because building muscle requires a calorie surplus. Weight training is recommended to maintain muscle mass so muscle isn't depleted during a cut.

Same. Completely changed my body.

It took me a long time to find a good endocrinologist. Keep searching. Search outside of your town or city if you have to.

Yes! It was eye opening for me too. Being a baker (not professional, I just like to bake), I was pretty spot on most of my "guesses". But the thing that surprised me was meat. I thought 4oz of chicken was way less than it actually is. I wasn't getting near the protein that I thought, and eating less calories. Grapes were a…

If you find that after you bumped your calories up that you're still not losing, I would eat back less exercise calories. 400 seems really high.

I have one but rarely use it. I should probably use it more but then I'm looking down on my coworker and that just gets awkward.

This doesn't actually happen. Its a myth. You may have to tighten up your diet to lose those last 7lbs. I know you have a deadline to lose the weight but I think that just puts more stress on a person. Let the deadline go.

Motivation comes after you see results. The results motivate you. Until then you just have to do it. Someone wise once told me, "When you rely on a temporary emotion like motivation, you get temporary results"

I don't get the issue. What do you say when people talk about anything that you don't want to discuss? Do that. A simple, "I have." and moving the conversation along does wonders. On the flipside I read so many posts here from people who say, "No one has commented on my weight loss. When will people start noticing?" In all…

Not anywhere close to being ready to quit the gym, but I have added DDP Yoga to the mix at home and love it.

Right now I am obsessed with these tacos I make: Shredded pork (usually around 65g) topped with cole slaw (85g of cole slaw mixed with 50g of Bolthouse Avocado Cilantro Dressing) on top of a soft taco shell. I usually eat two for dinner: P 23g C 38g F 16 - 395 calories for both

Squats, deadlifts, hip thrusts, squats. More squats. More deadlifts. Leg press. Squats and deadlifts

When I had my hip replaced I just ate intuitively and that seemed to work

Weight fluctuations are totally normal. On Friday I was the highest I'd been in a long time. By Sunday I was down 3 pounds. That's just the way it works. It's not fat fluctuations. I didn't gain or lose that much fat in a few days. Its probably all water. That's why a weight tracking app is so beneficial.

For exercise, choose something that gets you moving, that you love, and that you want to do for the rest of your life. Some people have to start slow, like a walk around the block, and build up to running (if running is your jam). There is so much you can do that gets your body moving and your heart pumping. As for Atkins,…

Its very hard for the average person to burn 2000 calories in exercise. My daughter burns that running a Spartan Beast (13 miles with 30 obstacles). You might want to check that calorie burn. On another note, I don't put any faith in what MFP gives me in calories burned.

Success in maintaining your weight loss will come from learning how to eat while losing weight. Meal plans do not teach you how to eat. IMO, it's a trial and error period that everyone should go through. You'll come out the other side much more knowledgeable about food and what works for you and what doesn't.

Protein timing is not important--that is old school thinking. Overall protein intake throughout the day is. I drink mine before my workout

I have an old school mechanical scale that works just fine and weighs accurately. I think it was $9

Drop the Skinny Course Meals and eat real food in moderation. You can lose weight without being hungry.
-
You need to find a way of eating that you can sustain for a lifetime. For some people its keto, for others its low carb. For most people its eating the foods you love in moderation and watching your calorie intake. A lot of people have to try different things to find what works for them. Be patient, explore your options,…

You've totally got this. Take it slow. Make small changes at a time. Remember that you are relearning how to eat right and this needs to be a lifetime change. It won't happen overnight. Enjoy the journey.

I'll add go to the doctor. If my thyroid levels are out of balance, I don't sleep well. Not saying its your thyroid but it could be something medical.

Weight lifting does not burn a lot of calories so I wouldn't count on that to create a bigger calorie deficit

Crockpot!

I was going to recommend 90 Degrees LOL. They're my favorite. I buy mine on Amazon

I hate veggies and lost all of my weight by not eating one veggie. Over time, I have added foods that I never thought I would like. For instance, I discovered it was COOKED veggies I didn't like. So I eat raw veggies. Have you tried broccoli slaw? Add some Bolthouse dressing (yogurt based, low cal) and it tastes great. You…
