The peanut butter and ranch will put you over. Try mixing dry ranch mix with plain Greek yogurt. For the peanut butter you can use powdered PB mixed with water. Or some people use dry PB mixed with Greek yogurt for an apple dip

I felt the same way. Mine were dry as hell

Be the example. He's not going to change until he is ready to change and any nagging (not saying you're nagging at all) is only going to make him resent you. You can't force this on him. He has to come to Jesus on his own, unfortunately. But keep stocking healthy foods. Keep eating healthy foods. Keep saying no when he…

I started my final cut on Jan 2. My weight bounced all around for the first ten days--up three pounds, down three pounds, up three pounds, etc. It finally evened out after about 10 days and I saw my first loss (1lb) today. So 16 days is what it took to see any weight loss. And I'm pretty much an expert at this because I've…

You are on the right track. Stay patient and consistent and you will get there. I'm glad you don't have an unrealistic goal to lose a lot of weight quickly.

All I drink is flavored water. My go-to is Nestle Splash Acai Grape. So yummy!

Just remember, calories are king. Then I always focus on protein. Carbs and fats I let fall where they may. But I always watch my calories first.

What tinkerbellang83 said. You ate at maintenance

No. But if it does, who cares? IF is just another way to control calorie intake.

When I was at my heaviest I did most of my eating at night, alone. My husband worked long night shifts and I was lonely after the kids went to bed so I filled the hole with food. I ate whole bags of mini Butterfingers. I would buy pints of Ben & Jerry's and hide them in the back of the refrigerator, and look forward all…

That's actually pretty normal and will stop, even possibly stall.

100% agree. Love your photos. Great job!

I've been using Happy Scale for nearly 2 years. I love it and have the free version. You can input your past weight but you have to do it day by day so it will get tedious

Read the forums, do some research, soak up the information

You know points is just another way to restrict calories, right? And what doctor would say never to drop below 2000 for anyone? For some people that is a calorie surplus. Ugh.

I always wondered about Noom. Thanks for the information

My daughter's peanut butter pie and an Oreo yule log :p

I was up one pound today. More than likely it was all water weight and will go away in a few days

Who produced this podcast and what is their agenda? Two things I always ask myself before listening or watching food related documentaries. You will always find an agenda......

My "cleanse" is getting back on track and eating what I was before the holidays, keeping to my calorie goal and just basically moving forward.

Upper body strength is key. You don't have to run the entire course. A lot of people walk. But upper body strength should be your priority. Find a gym or playground with monkey bars and work on those.

Yaaaassss for getting a food scale. But I agree with chris_in-cal, measure in grams. It's much more accurate

Your diet determines your weight loss. Lifting weights determines what your body will look like after the weight loss.
-
Eat to your calorie goal. If you're not losing after 4-6 weeks then adjust down. There is no reason to leave a gap
-
I log snacks ahead of time so I can reserve calories for them

I counted calories for years, then once I understood the calorie content of the foods I ate, I switched to IE. But first I think you need to learn what you are putting into your body and the calories in everything before you can be successful at IE.

Motivation is an emotion like happiness or sadness or joy. We're not always 100% the same emotion 100% of the time. Routine and habit will get you through but it takes time to establish routine and create the habits. Just do it and stick with it.

I did all 26 weeks of Strong Curves and you can easily modify. Personally, I would start with body weight exercises and move up to dumbbells and so forth. Take your time and go at your own pace. I think this will be a great program for you! Good luck!

Baby steps. You don't need to make sweeping changes all at once. A bunch of small changes quickly add up

I've been on a turkey wrap kick: 90 calorie spinach wrap spread with Laughing Cow Cheese and sprinkled with a dill seasoning that I love. Turkey slices, broccoli slaw for crunch. Wrap it up and eat it. YUM
