insane, huh? I tacked out an "average" day from before and it was CRAZY!! something like 4,500 calories with each meal. ring almost a thousand ! seriously... scared the crap outta me. I'm at 1550 now, and there are days I have a hard time eating that! I'm rarely "hungry". if someone had told me a year ago that I'd be…

I came across it in the app store :) and I have to agree with everything you've said. I try hard to get as close to my calorie target without going over - like the price is right! LOL I didn't have to give up eating everything I like... I've lost 50lbs and I still have ice cream (skinny cow!) and tacos... and just about…

when I'm sick, nothing sounds good :( but I try to stay under and eat comforting foods (soups and oatmeal are my "go to" when I'm sick). tons of fluids is good, for your health all around!

my plan is to eat as smart as possible (turkey, vegetables, salad - easy!) and to allow myself some treats. there are a few I'm looking forward to, so I already know I'll get them :) but I've worked my butt off to lose 50lbs! Christmas is "just another day" when it comes to my eating. I know myself - I can't "let it go"…

you look awesome!!! :) your "before" picture is where I am now - its cool to see where I could be in another 6 months! I hope you make your new years goal - you're doing amazing! :)
-
if you like spicy - try franks hot sauce! YUMMY!!! the heat makes me drink more water, too. win/win :)
-
my goodness!! you look AWESOME! easily 10+ years younger!! what an inspiration, thank you for sharing!

I'm flying in November... and I just pray I don't get asked to buy another seat :( I LOVE your NSV, you're an inspiration! :)

I don't have cheat days/meals. if I want something, I budget it like others have said. I went out to Mexican this weekend and had an enchilada with rice and beans... 1010 calories for the meal! yikes! but I walked 4 miles that morning and I stayed under for the day. but everyone is different. for me, feeling deprived makes…

you look great! MAN, what a difference :) and I love the monthly progression pictures - I'm going to borrow that idea :)

LOL I noticed that a few years ago at a hotel pool. I floated in the deepens like a bouy. I could have floated there all day! I'm anxious to see if I sink next time I hit the pool :) congrats on such a fun NSV!

welcome! I've been here (actively) for about 7 weeks now - and I love MFP :) taking this first step in the hardest! just be honest with yourself, track everything, and do your best!

I have the eatsmart precision plus with an ultra wide platform. it's around $35 on amazon and has 1200+ five star reviews. it's glass, and I love it! it's consistent with the readings as well. i love that it's 15" which means I can stand comfortably on it :)

like others have said - I drink water. not TONS, but way more than I did before. and I pre-log just about everything. especially if we're going out to eat. I'll pull up the menu online and decide what I'm eating before I get there. and I "budget" special treats in. if I'm craving chocolate, I fit it in. or whatever it is…

i only drink the iced drinks - and ive been having an iced grande skinny cinnamon dolce for 80 calories every day. it's sweet enough (i dont like strong drinks) and creamy enough. the hot skinny cinnamon dolce, grande, is 130 calories. so i'll save that 50 calories and get it iced! :)

ugh - ive had a similar thing happen with my 4 year old. :( im sorry you had to go through that, but im glad you shared it here. we're all here to support you - and we can all (mostly!) relate. welcome back (im a re-re-re-restarter too) - we can do this! :) the next time you go to the theme park, you and your son will be…

awesome! seriously inspiring :) thank you for sharing the pictures! you look amazing - the difference is clear!

if you're feeling shaky, you're not eating enough of the right things. it seems like you're getting a lot of calories, but not a lot of food. PB is good in moderation, but it's big on calories and not very filling. I'm no expert (not by a long shot!) but I think adding lean protein to your meals might help - chicken,…

I do the same thing - I use the app, and I plan out my breakfast, lunch and at least one snack the night before. :) 100lbs is a lot, and can be daunting (I have 100+ to lose!) so try not to think about that huge boulder! break it down into mini goals... 5 or 10lbs - that's a lot less scary to think of! and I think tracking…

I've had a lot of "nudges" - being too big to ride some rides at Disneyland with my son, getting winded just playing at the park... but my slap in the face was when I hit the scale at my doctors office and it said 298. I about crapped my pants! that was too flipping close to 300, and about 10lbs more than I weighed the day…
-
hang in there - you CAN do this! baby steps... change one thing at a time. its been said a million times before, but it's worth repeating - getting healthy and fit isn't a diet, it's a whole lifestyle change. figure out why you've "failed" before, and work with that. if you can't deal with food restrictions (ie. no…

that's great! that's hard to do... you should feel proud! I know I'd have a hard time with a mcDs that close! :)
-
put it in the trunk of your car :) you'll just make yourself crazy... you've done great so far!

a glass of water (cold!) helps me too, but i also try to keep a little something for me to splurge on. i enjoy the weight watchers 80 calorie dark chocolate raspberry ice cream bars. they arent "healthy", but they keep me from feeling deprived of ice cream... and help curb the cravings when i see the pint of ben and jerrys…
-
you look awesome - and i agree with the others, the facial timeline really shows how the years literally melt away - you look so much younger! :) i love hearing how you didnt go to a gym. i sometimes feel discouraged because the gym is not my thing (or in my budget), but you're an inspiration for finding a way to get it…

me too. i had a massive craving for mexican food last week (and not anything "healthy") - so i had it, though not in the quantity that i normally would have - i got full much faster - and still came in under my calories thanks to my 4mile walk that morning. it satisfied my craving and i didnt have to resent not being able…
-
welcome!! you've taken the first step to a healthier lifestyle, and that's the hardest! we can do this! :)
-
congratulations!!! here's to a happy, healthy and uneventful 7 months! :) please don't assume blame for your miscarriages... they were not your fault, and weren't due to your weight. I had a loss myself and I looked for any reason to blame myself... but then got PG (at 283 lbs) and had my son. keep up the healthy life…

sounds like you're ready to make the change! be honest with your logging and stay motivated :)
