Awesomeness! You should feel very proud of how far you have come!

What an awesome NSV! Makes me wish I had kept something from teen-aged days :)
-
such a great story! It's more about your getting into shape than in losing weight - which i think is awesome!!!

glad to know, 'cause now I won't say that I thought Vince Gill from the first pic :) But he does look amazing!!!!!

Amazing! congrats to you!

You know, it is amazing how much your body changed the last few months despite the fact that you didn't lose a lot of weight! Thank you so much for sharing your inspiring story!

Lower calorie eating out options: Fast Food: Chick-fil-A If you must eat FF, they have the most low cal selections and taste pretty darn good. They are also very friendly at most Chick-fil-As. If you ask, they can provide you with nutritional info on all their food. (Their small "Ice Dream Cone" is only 170 calories and is…

I am so impressed with your determination to NOT be trapped by your own body! You are free :)

I love your story and your advice was very wise! Congratulations... you look fantastic!

Angel, that's amazing! I am so inspired by the progress you have made! Being fit is one of those gifts you never really appreciate until it is gone... but it really is a blessing like no other!

Ohhhh, I hate sweat running in my eyes! I'm practically blinded. I wear a Headsweats visor that works even better than the sweatbands I used to wear. It is washable, and actually wicks the sweat all the way through the brim of the hat! I also carry a small microfiber towel on my waistband.
-
This! You won't believe the difference they make! They help me feel cooler and able to do more. I'm not sure if it helps you sweat less ('cause I still sweat a LOT) but it does help me go longer and stronger.

How beautiful! I'm actually so touched I am crying :D thank you for sharing.

Oh, for heaven's sake! Don't let something like gloves define your "manhood". I have a lot more respect for a man wearing gloves in the squat rack (you know, doing actual squats) than a gloveless, macho wannabe on the Smith machine. Everyone has a different idea of what tough and manly looks like and the only opinions that…

This picture of me surrounded by my 6 children and one grandchild was taken this past Mother's Day. It is one of my favorite pics ever!

thank you for posting this. I'm at 150-ish now, trying to get down to 140, and if I look as good as you I will be soooo happy! You look great and the dress rocks!

I am truly impressed! Losing weight is one thing... but getting Triathlon fit... incredible!

You look fabulous, and much younger than 40! Happy Birthday!

I was 190lbs, 4 weeks after giving birth to my last child which had pretty much been my weight for the 10 years previous, so I was working off long-time fat, not baby fat. Anyway, I exclusively bf for about 6 months and even then she still got most of her nourishment from me. I ate anywhere from 1700-1900 calories a day…

I took a whole year off once. (sept '10 - Nov '11) It really was good for me because I learned to cue into what my body was telling me and not rely on an outside source. When I felt myself gaining, I cut back. At the end of the year I weighed exactly the same. Since then I find that my relationship with the scale is…

Excuse my ignorance, but how is a c-section pooch any different than the pooch after a vag. delivery? I mean, I understand that it may take longer for the abdominal muscles to heal, but once they are healed what would be different. I have had 4 vag. deliveries, and 2 c-sections and did not notice a difference. Then again,…

You've lost 5 lbs in 7 weeks? Doesn't sound too bad to me :) Are you still nursing? I lost 35 lbs after I had my last baby, but it took 9 months. I was nursing and did not want to jeopardize that. Also, Baby weight gain is pretty easy to take off (You know, the extra blood volume/hydration/fat your body added to support…

Fly on the Wall by Miley Cirus. It's one of my fav. workout songs :blushing: :blushing: :blushing: :blushing: :blushing:

Let's see, you weighed yourself AFTER a 12 hour fast? Was that a water fast as well? Then you weighed yourself on a different scale today? and had you eaten breakfast yet? Basically, the "weight gain" is probably a result of using differently calibrated scales and your hydration levels. For accuracy, you should always…

feel free to add me!

I would also add that there is a difference between losing weight you gained while pregnant and weight you had before pregnancy. During my first few pregnancies it was a breeze to lose the weight I gained during pregnancy through breastfeeding alone (no need to diet) However, I actually weighed less after my last baby than…

I lost 35 lbs while breastfeeding my last baby. Just make sure you add around 500 cals to what would be your regular diet calorie goal (at 190 lbs I ate 1700-1800 cals a day) and lose the weight slowly. It took me 9 months (avg. 1 lb a week) but the dieting was not hard since I could eat 1800 calories and still lose :D Oh,…

Looks like you have some very admirable goals! Feel free to friend me if you want :)
