olive oil and vinegar for salad dressing. can't answer about fish question as i don't eat it. sauces you would be best to avoid them but condiments like mustard very low sodium. i would let your server know your low sodium requirement and see if something can be done to accomodate. worst case keep your intake low during…

thanks for sharing that! i read the entire post all while eating snack well cookies which i'm sure are loaded with toxins! :D

most days my lunch is the night before's leftovers. after we finish eating dinner i pack my lunch for the next day then i don't have to worry about it the next morning. :) you don't mention anything you like so it's difficult to say what you should pack for lunch.

before your next visit with your MIL i would treat myself to a BANGING outfit that shows off your hard work at the gym. fyi we may have the same MIL. lol!
-
and.... when was the last time you went to the gym? would have been my response. if you feel good then it's working and that's what matters not what someone else with a stupid opinion thinks or comments. edited to add: then you could end with please pass the cake and the chuck it in the direction of your in law.

workout clothes, kettlebell, put $ towards new sneakers, if you run (since you use run keeper) use $ to register for a race. congratulations too!

the scale didn't go up overnight so it won't go down overnight either. you are doing great!!! you should be proud of that 11lbs loss! buy a food scale, ditch the measuring cups. keep at it. eventually you will lose the weight. watch your sodium intake.
-
measuring helps you better gauge what a portion size truly looks like over time you won't need to measure because you'll just know what say 30g of peanut butter looks like

i'm lactose sensitive myself try adding coconut yogurt or lactose free diary to your diet.
-
thank you for being brutally honest here. i would most certainly get a second opinion. something could be wrong since it started after your abortion. find a new doctor, one that will take you seriously and go from there. good luck. :)

i get an hour lunch and i'm lucky enough to have a small gym at the office so i use that during my lunch hour. if it's nice outside i go for a run at lunch.
-
buy a food scale. you'll be SHOCKED how inaccurate measuring cups are once you start weighing your food.
-
first stop THINKING about what you're going to do and just do something anything. go out for walk. too cold get on a treadmill and walk. don't have a gym, walk inside your home, march inside your home. anything. you don't need a specific program you just need to start moving. second, make sure you are WEIGHING all your…

try roasting them - they get all sweet from roasting. oh and in casseroles, tomato sauce, "creamy" soups (cauliflower soup blended creamy is amazing)!

ran 2 miles instead of quitting after the first half mile. ran 4 miles yesterday body was tired but i pushed through.

frozen breakfast burritos. you can make them ahead of time, freeze then microwave to eat. definitely get that scale and start weighing your food. weighing my food was an eye opener for me. while i was eating healthy meals i was eating huge portions and didn't even know it. chicken breast, salsa, rice, veggies in a crock…

don't feel guilty about over eating. it happens to all of us. check out my diary. i've been terrible lately. TERRIBLE! once you stop being SO HARD on yourself it'll become easier. feel free to add me as a friend.

just read this. yes yes yes!

do you intend on eating this way forever? what happens when you start eating normal foods again? of course you're going to drop weight fast you're cutting out entire food groups. good for your wife for loosing 40lbs that's amazing and good for you as well but again what happens when you go back to normal food? it's all…

unless you have a dietary reason for using stevia i wouldn't bother with it. there's nothing wrong with using plain ole sugar it's the amount of sugar that gets us all in trouble. a little bit is not going to make a difference in your weight loss. save your money. also if you haven't already received these as suggestions…

if you decide running is your thing then yes invest in good sneakers. get fitted don't just go to a random sneaker store and try on stuff. a good running store will have you get on a treadmill and run for a bit so they can watch how you run. slow and steady finishes the race. you're doing fine. i started running because i…

i'm curious - when you say you wear a size 1 is that US or another country because if your waist is a 32 and you're wearing a size 1 then why am i wearing a size 10 and have a 30" waist.

instead of bottled dressings try extra virgin olive oil and vinegar (apple cider, red wine, balsamic). olive oil is much healthier for you then bottled dressings.
-
i'm sorry i can't offer help with your deficiency however i too think your sodium is out of control. every day i looked at you were WAY over. if you cut back on your sodium and drank tons of water you will probably lose a bit more weight just from this little fix. you may also want to think about cutting back on the…

if this is true i only have one more inch to go. woot woot!

I must have been Ugly! with a capital U    my fav sunglasses don't fit on my face anymore. trying on clothes is nerve…

i drink water all day and some evenings i have a glass or two of red wine. i just fit it into my calories for the day. if i happen to go over then i don't sweat it. i want to live my life and not be controlled by my calorie counter. that being said i do try to NOT go over every day and i get in some form of exercise…
