Well, this is my second time around with this site. First time I lost 40lbs. I managed to put back on 30lbs. 15 days ago I started walking 3 miles 5 days a week and eating a negative of 500 calories daily. I have lost 3lbs already. YEA ME! Love my fitbit and this site. Carol

SITE oops don't know what happened there.

I have a fitbit one and lost 40lbs on MFP. Kept the weight off by logging and exercising and eating every calorie. I have had 100% success, but then again I really work the program.

finding the same here...just delete the duplicate entry

mine said "smooches" one morning. Never said it again.

I do and agree....march on...

I started MFP 1 year ago, it got me to my goal, now to keep at goal I need to keep logging and counting. I started out with 1,200 daily and was hungry and now between 1,500-1,700 depending on my exercise output (I have a fitzip) the balance from both have kept me on track, but I have days when the hunger wants to win out.…

I have a fitbit zip and sync with MFP. So far maintenance has been a piece of cake for me. I weigh daily and eat back my exercise calories and have everything set to maintenance. I always try to stay in the zone range with my fitbit, it takes a lot of dedication and planning. Weekly I have stayed within a -/+ of 200…

I just started maintaining, will be sure to keep checking back for words of wisdom.

6 out of 7 I would say

everything.
-
lost the weight and now off blood pressure, cholesterol meds and avoided the diabetic meds also.
-
you need to budget your food just like you would do money.
-
When I started I ate 1200 daily. All exercise calories I ate back it make it easier to eat more and still lost weight.
-
I use the almond milk very calorie friendly and it is rich and thick. Really good on cereal.

Been doing this for 1 year and now trying to maintain the loss. I always find having a good idea of what I am eating the day before or that morning gives me the best advantage to stay on track. I can always change things around later as the needs fits. I love small baggies and when I am repackaging something grab the…

when I weigh any fruit or vegetable I look for the USDA values. It is more accurate and tells you how it is to be weighed. A tip I read here. Meats are the same way USDA if at all possible, and always by grams.
-
my 2 cents (that I have saved here) MFP+fitbit-1 year=35lbs weight loss.
-
I always start with adding 3 fruits to my meal intake then add my milk products. Fill the rest in with healthy carbs and protein and some snacks. Then again I like to eat and never have a problem getting in all my calories for the day.

Good food and bath scales and the best my fit bit zip
-
I have the zip and love it. I use to wear it on my bra in the middle, I almost washed it one day. Now I wear it on my underwear to the side no more close calls either. It is small enough that it does not show (it is so small). I also like the price 1/2 the price of the other ones and does the same thing except for the…

me....and off meds

I vote for MFP and a fitbit zip. The only cost was the fitbit. the end.:flowerforyou:

sorry, jumped the gun, thought you were talking about food scales, not weight. I do use a digital weight scale and step on it atleast 2 to 3 times when I weigh in.
-
digital and always set for grams. Use it every time I eat anything.
-
lost 30lbs in 6month sticking to 1200 cals. No exercising either.
-
I started out about the same weight as you. I stuck to it daily at 1200 calories and no exercise and in 6months I was down 30. But it takes commitment and focus, everyone is different. Oh by the way I ate every night some sort of frozen desert mostly in the form of icecream. It can be done. Good luck, and remember one step…

when I am on program counting calories and trying to drop weight I weigh daily and only record on Mondays, keeps me more focused. You get accustom to the ups and downs but weekly it keeps you focused. IMHO

I have tried a lot of diet programs, most costing $$$, this was free. A co-worker lost a ton doing it, and I started after trying it on my own. Starting weight was 178 down to 148 at lowest. It also syncs with fitbit which was available to me from my work insurance. Between the two I have learned to eat better and exercise…
