Do you mean the kind of machine below? I can see how you'd use the bar to provide resistance for the lift part but where do you put your legs? Do you need another bench to put your feet on? Jenna

I can't WAIT to try some of these, you guys have given me GREAT ideas!!! Cream cheese might be one of the first things I try... or the green omelet, I don't know where to start!

Wheat!!! But I'm a food addict... When I don't eat wheat, I can eat like everyone else. When I have wheat based products, I get food cravings.

When I first started using MFP, I told myself that I was going to just log everything I ate and not worry about adjusting for two weeks. I thought I was doing a good job with food selections. HA! After the first week, I had cut my calorie intake in half and I was losing weight. Knowledge *is* Power. If you feel like you’re…

I had a hard time learning this ^^^ lesson!

Weight Loss Surgery. ¶ ¶I cannot speak for everyone, only my own journey. I found myself in a surgeon’s office because I felt that I had exhausted every single option to adjust my weight through diet and exercise and I just kept failing. I *knew* that I needed to lose weight, I just couldn’t figure out why I kept failing.…

I, too, need to lose more than 50#s. I am trying. I can always use (and help support) motivational buddies!

My old scale used to measure a slightly different weight every time I stepped on it. (I am talking about the morning "Dance of the Scale"; tap the scale, step up, wait, step down and groan, wait, tap the scale again, step up, wait, step down, see a *different* number, groan again, think 'the third time's the charm" and tap…

My niece (who unfortunately takes after my side of the family) asked me about my diet once. She is 9 and really into math so I explained it as a math problem... that the body needed X calories to live. "Guess what happens if I eat more than X?" I asked her. She said, "There is some left over?" "Yep" I said. "Guess what…

A Vitacake (they're chocolate) topped with a little PB2 mixed with water. Chocolate and peanutbutter for under 100 calories.

I am probably going to set a new goal and keep working. More than likely, I will have to work at it to "maintain" so that's what I plan on doing.
-
I would be happy to have it!!!!

Thanks guys, I have some good ideas now! Jenna

Because maybe, just maybe, if I lose the spare tire around my waist, it will allow a little bit of butt to show in the back. Being a black woman with no behind is sad.

Have you tried circuit training? It is lifting smaller weights but much faster so you get a cardio burn plus you get the benefit of toned muscles. Curves works this way, so does Les Mills' Body Pump. I am also a big woman and I really like circuit training. I attend Body pump classes 3 times a week and I'm seeing changes.

Hungry Girl is partially responsible for my weight loss. I could not have done it without her tasty recipes. I give her stuff two thumbs up!

I wish I could post this sign: IMPORTANT NOTICE! The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has determined that the maximum safe load capacity on my butt is two persons at one time, unless I install handrails or safety straps. As you have arrived sixth in line to ride my *kitten* today, please take a number…

I'm 6 foot 2 inches in my bare feet and I would very much like to get to 220. Denise, one of my support buddies, says that once I get there I'll probably change my goal to something lower but right now, that is where I'd like to get. Size-wise I don't really care what size I wear, I care about my shape. I want to lose the…

I was on Nutrisystem for a while. I lost over 50 pounds on it. I started on it because I had a long commute and didn't have time to do the cooking that I had done before but I was trying to stay healthy. I couldn't maintain it though, the food was too bland for me. (I was doing the pop-it-open-add-water-and-microwave type…

I work at a Space Center where they test (loud!) rocket engines. My boss will send me updates before the test to let me know when to expect that it might go off. Boss: Jay called to let me know you guys could not hear the teat on radio. Nothing we can do this late in the count to troubleshoot. Hope you're getting the test.…

For me, if it's angry stress, I watch a violent movie like Aliens but if it is frustration-stress, I usually take a long hot bath while reading a book. I used to drink wine with that but I've given it up. Usually I'll bring a big glass of Crystal Lite with me.

1. Hungry Girl Jambalaya (it's a late lunch) 2. BlackMagicDesign's H.264 recorder 3. Assorted ear plugs 4. A miniature Rubix Cube on a keychain 5. A tiny mock-up of the space shuttle (I'm a videographer at a space center)

Ladyballs?!? Oh that is *so* going into my vocabulary!

My bar, the Peanut Peanut Butter bar has a grade of C+. I realize now that I won't be able to eat those once I get close to my target weight but I think (considering the way I *used* to eat) they're healthy for me for a good while longer. I'm making small changes.

I've been on here about a month. I have tried NutriSystem, Atkins, juicing... you name it, I've probably tried it. I have lost weight on all those programs but once I got "tired" of them (because I *never* reached my goal weight) I found that I didn't have a strategy of how to deal with making the right choices and eating…

I have a meat slicer and I was wondering if you could use it to make thin sheet noodles of the raw egg plant? Have you tried that?

I make my salads upside down with the meat and veggies on the bottom and the spinach or romaine on the top. Then I put the dressing directly on the greens. I don't mind if the carrots and mushrooms don't get dressing but I like for the spinach to have it.
