Actually, it did. "Because the thermic effect of food tends to be greater for carbohydrate than fat,24 - 25 it would also not explain the lower TEE on the low-fat diet. Although protein has a high thermic effect of food,16 the content of this macronutrient was the same for the low-fat and low–glycemic index diets and…

More proof that you don't understand how science works. The burden of evidence in science is much, much higher than it is in a court of law. "In 2002, having spent more than three years in one residence for the first time in my life, I got called for jury duty. I show up on time, ready to serve. When we get to the voir…

Stop making things up. Aspartame may well turn out to be the most thoroughly studied food additive ever approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in terms oftotal numbers of studies conducted before approval. http://www.ajcn.org/content/46/1/204.full.pdf+html…

Labeling any food as "good" or "bad" in isolation is completely nonsensical. Carbs high in fiber are generally labelled as "good", but in the context of a UD2.0 type refeed, they are very, very bad. http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/the-importance-of-context.html

Why not answer them in the forum? My guess is that your are: (a) Selling something (b) Giving bro-tastic advice and you're afraid of being called out on it. Either way, it smells like you're hiding something.
-
No. Personal trainers have no nutritional training. They have no business recommending supplements (and will often pimp whatever the gym wants them to sell). OP: 99.999% of the supplements out there are garbage. A mutivitamin and possibly fish oil (if you don't eat much fish) are probably all you need.

Tempted to buy a waffle iron just so I can make these: http://dudefoods.com/chicken-waffle-wings/#

No to both. A good rule of thumb: if a GNC salesperson recommends it, it's a waste of $$.

In other news: special snowflakes melt just like the rest of them.

Epidemiology has its place. The issue with the China Study is that the epedemiological data does not support Campbell's conclusions in any way shape or form. For a proper evisceration of the book, look at Denise Minger's site: http://rawfoodsos.com/2010/07/07/the-china-study-fact-or-fallac/

Not even close. BIA is the worst indicator of bodyfat %. BMI is a better predictor (and BMI sucks). http://weightology.net/weightologyweekly/?page_id=218

Yet another reason why these Beachbody coaches are idiots. A couple commonly accepted tests of muscular strength should be administered prior to engaging in a plyometric exercise program. Traditionally, athletes in conditioning programs are required to do a 1 RM back squat to parallel position. They are classified as ready…

No clear weight/fat-loss advantage to lower-insulinemic diets Almost a decade ago, a 2-month trial by McLaughlin and colleagues demonstrated that under hypocaloric conditions, the most insulin-resistant and hyperinsulinemic subjects lost weight as effectively as the most insulin-sensitive subjects with the lowest insulin…

Stop taliking nonsense.

I'm just going to keep quoting this until you get it through your skull:

DNL never occurs in a caloric deficit. I like how you keep ignoring that. Lipolysis is always inhibited in the post-prandial state. 24hour energy balance is all that is relevant. Under 300 calories. Now lets look at the raw data from your original chart: Over twice the number of calories consumed results in a longer period…
-
Why do you think that your graphic has anything to do with fat storage? And what makes you think that an isocaloric meal with a different macronutrient composition would be any different concerning lipolysis/lipogenesis?

You lost strength because you were following a ****ty program that is counterproductive to strength gains. Some guy at a HS gym said it? Wow! Then it must be true. Care to explain how Olympic weightlifters can increase their lifts without changing weight classes? Of course there is a point where neural adaptations have…
-
Utter nonsense. Strength and muscle mass are only tangentially related. The vast majority of strength increases are due to technique improvement and neural factors (especially at the novice stage)

LOL @ "Tested positive for DMAA". How were the tests performed? By looking at the ingredient labels?

Oh I see, so if evolution was still happening, nobody would ever die of natural causes at a young age. PS: If you're going to lie about your credentials, you should at least put them in your profile. So you got your Ph.d, taught at an "Ivy League" school for what, a year? Then changed careers? Sure you did.
-
If you had the slightest understanding of science at all, you would know that n=1 analogies are meaningless. Hence I suspect you're lying about teaching evolutionary biology (your wisdom tooth statement supports my beliefs as well).
