Hey! So I'm in very early recovery from an ED, and I've been of the belief for years that dieting after having had an ED is very dangerous territory. You seem to be having the opposite problem (reverting to a recovery mindset rather than an ED mindset) which is good. But I worry that if you do start to get into a "diet…

It's not as simple as weight gain vs weight loss. It's more about metabolism. If you're not giving your body enough nutrients, your metabolism will slow down in an attempt to preserve energy. You will lose both muscle and fat. And when you eat higher than you usually do, your body will try to hold onto that and store it…

...Well that's embarrassing... Dang. Do I really look that much older than I am? 22.

It's totally cheating to cover most of your face... :P Um... 24 given only a portion to work with.

Ugh the dreaded pear. I hate it. I wear typically a size 10 in pants, but I've been asked if I was underweight by people who have only seen pictures of me from the chest up. Most people my weight wear size 3-6 depending on how tall they are. So I know a big part of it for me is that I have less muscle than fat but arrrgh.

Coldness can be for two reasons that I know of (there could be more). It can be as simple as not having as much body fat to insulate you, so you feel the cold more easily than before. But if being cold is accompanied by blue fingernails, it could be an iron or b12 deficiency or something else like that.

First of all, I have to agree with llaurenmarie. I feel people use the term binge way too liberally and it has started to invalidate what an actual binge is, causing people who actually struggle with binge eating get swept under the rug because, "Hey! We all binge!" Overeating compulsively is a better term. Because you are…

The thing about temporary dieting is it typically ends in the weight being regained because as soon as you reach your goal, you go back to your old eating habits, which brings you back up. This is why people always say you have to make it a "lifestyle change". Because you do. So start slowly. Begin to readjust portion…

You sound like you're seeing a doctor (because of the meds), but have you talked to them about the eating? Or looked into counselling. It can help a lot because the eating issues are really just a symptom of a more complex psychological problem. If you just treat the eating without conquering the emotional/psychological…

As many people have stated, I would highly suggest you talk to someone about it. Feeling guilty for such a trivial thing, especially to the point where you still haven't been able to shake it, is not a good sign. You asked if anyone else gets like this? Yes. I have. And now, as suggested above, I've sought out and am…

A guy lost a ton of weight on a diet based off twinkies... a calorie is just that. A calorie. Nutrients however, are a different story. http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/

Yep! This is my problem.

Yep. A pair of jeans that I couldn't quite do up. Currently can do them up, but they're not the most flattering. But they're essentially the same fit on me as a lot of jeans I used to wear before I lost weight. Hopefully soon they'll be the perfect size.

Hey! I'm 19. I feel like having more people our age working towards this goal would probably help. I'm mostly on my own here too, so any support is SUPER welcome. :)
