  • July 9th was about a 6...my wife came back from Memphis with a rack of my favorite BBQ ribs. Four bones were more than 700 calories! Kind of killed my day. I still came in under my goal, but I was eating like a bird all evening to make up for it. The structure of this plan saved me...and the one day at a time concept…
  • Keep Pounding, Carolina!
  • Today the Eagles invited Tiger Jones (a 30 year-old receiver from the Arena league) to their camp. I know that philly is full up at his position, but BOY do I love that they are giving him some exposure! He is one of our UofL players who is just digging and scratching for a break. It would be great to find him in an NFL…
  • We have some real troopers in this group! If I shot for 1000 calories, I would be wiped out the next day. My fitness level and health issues make calorie burning a real challenge right now...but I get just a little bit better every day. You all are a great inspiration, keep it going!
  • Really? Really? For a division that only had 1 team with a winning record and nobody who won 10 games last year...the word "exciting" might be a little much. I would bet the AFC North folks, with 3 playoff teams and only 1 team that didn't have 10 wins, might disagree. That being said, there is plenty of DRAMA in your…
  • I was gonna stay out of this until I saw that we have a Cincinnati Bearcat...My Louisville Cardinals are waiting for the Bearcats to come visiting on 10/26. Our Season Tickets came last week. NCAA: UofL Cardinals NFL: Carolina Panthers
  • I am promising a 4th of July celebration with no Bourbon! This is no easy feat in Kentucky. We are gonna head to Waterfront Park on the 3rd & 4th...watch the fireworks listen to the bands and have fun. Playing with the kids will be my only exercise. Everybody have a great holiday and drink plenty of water if you are going…
  • Getting these negative thoughts out of my head is the biggest challenge of all. If I can change the way I think, I will make these changes in my lifestyle permenant. I have programmed myself over the past 42 years to accept poor health choices as my "normal". My filter is set to seek out anything negative and block the…
  • I went from Fantastic to Crummy in 1 weekend...Sunday (the 1st) I slept late, rode the couch most of the day, only ate about half of my calories, bad job all around... hang a 4 on myself for yesterday. Its not how many times you fall, but how often you get back up...Right Rocky? I am getting back up.
  • Face it, if you step outside this week, you are gonna sweat off a gallon or so. I chased the kids around the Battle Zone at Laser Blaze in Saint Matthews. 4 sessions of 20 minutes each! Wiped this dude out! And I am still a big, slow target so every kid in there hit me 100 times.
  • All Right! Nobody's PERFECT so I will just take a 9. But what a Day! Holy Cow! Dead on Calories in, double digit water...and chased kids around a pool and then 60 minutes of laser tag...I was wiped out, but I earned this day.
  • Much, much better yesterday. I'll go as high as an 8. Got some exercise, water, under my calories and a good mix of Protein/Carbs/Fats. And I found some KILLER ITALIAN ICE w/ Splenda (4oz, 60 cals)...a little bit of sweet goes a long way for me!
  • I am learning that we are blessed in Louisville with some wonderful parks and walking trails: Cherokee, Iriquois, Waterfront- not to mention J-Town's Veterans Park or Charlie Vettner Park (these last 2 are our stomping grounds). I thought we only had Bars & BBQ joints! I am learning a whole new Louisville. KEEP POUNDING!!!
  • Yesterday for me was only about a 6. Eating well, solid breakfast, under the daily calorie limit, no junk, good mix of protiens/fats/carbs, plenty of water...but no sweat, not a cotton-pickin drop. I will make sure I get some exercise in this evening.
  • My wife and I have just started using this website and she is ALWAYS way under her calorie goal. After a few false starts, I am getting better at planning my day ahead of time...but she doesn't "want" to eat on a schedule so she keeps going under her target. Changing these habits isn't all that easy. Make sure to get a…
