Exactly. It's rude. It's not his business, he could have very easily just kept that thought to himself.

Lol, just to point out-I don't think sugar is 'evil', not trying to fear monger anything here-I'm not so much concerned about it making me fat despite eating at a calorie deficit; I'm more asking for options for the sake of my overall health. I've had a long history of junk food and an over-indulgent love for chocolate and…

Thanks for this! Hadn't read it before and now I'm glad I did!

This thread has been pretty interesting; have to say though its making me feel a bit sorry for the Americans :( bread that's extra sweet? That would drive me nuts. I've been told America has a lot more sugar in most of their cereals, but didn't realise it extended to things like bread. I have enough trouble with sugar…

Are you kidding? We have heaps of cultural eating habits! Koala smoothies for breakfast with emu-bacon, kangaroo burgers at lunch and hearty Kookaburra casseroles at dinner. Washed down with at least 12 beers and a box of our finest wine. Oh and meat pies. We have a lot of meat pies over here.

You can do it :) if late night eating is a problem, go brush your teeth, floss and click the 'complete this entry' button on your food diary after dinner. It helps; you won't want to have to brush your teeth all over again so you'll have an insentive not to keep snacking, and clicking that button feels nice and final.…

I love putting kale in my stirfry. You can shred it, mix it in, and use quite a lot of it that way. Also if you make a vegetarian lasagne, you can chop it and mix it in with your sauce/layers; you don't even notice its in there and yet you get all the benefits of kale-goodness. :)

Hmm that's a good idea actually, might try that. Anyone have any other low-sugar foods? (or do they not exsist lol)
-
Lol these are great guys

Oh I feel for you. :( Its not easy; when I'm going through a tough emotional time my brain starts telling me "Who cares, what's the point of resisting, go binge on some chips/chocolate whatever, it doesn't matter." I don't click that I still DO actually care until after the fact. Distraction is best; if you can, go catch…

Hmm, I will have to try this recipe...

I appreciate your input; I'm betting I'll be one of the 'lucky' ones who have the genetic double-chin lol, but hoping a bit of fat-loss will improve things! I think I just needed to hear its at least a possibility; gives me encouragement to be patient, keep working and not get too down over it. Also, I'm hoping that by the…

Those tiny solid Cadbury's easter eggs. It's reaching that time of year again and wow; those things are a shocker. I used to eat a whole bag of those damn things! Nowadays my maximum is 3.

POST IT NOTES! They are magic. Put post-its with your name on them on any 'special food' you bought just for yourself. Then if she eats it and has a winge, just come back at her about how you bought that especially for your own purposes and how rude it was for her to take it in the first place. It won't be 'universal food'…

I weigh in on mondays...though some weeks I consider switching it to friday when I feel my weekend wasn't as active as it could have been! But I think I'll stick to it, as I'm taking what the scale says with a grain of salt. Once, on a previous (and very successful; despite several years later gaining a bunch of weight…

Thanks guys; just hearing that really helps. :) I will keep hope! (Hope for improvement, not perfection  )

Thanks for this! This actually helped me too, I get frustrated with my weight loss when I have a slow week, wondering what I did wrong. But by your scale, I'm actually going just as I should be, with the occasional ups and downs. Patience is really the hardest part of weight loss! :explode:

A couple weeks ago I had to run to catch my train, sprinting from the carpark across the platform, down the staircase and into the train, and I didn't even break a sweat. I know how small it may sound, but last time I had to run for the train my face went pink, I got all sweaty and the whole hard-to-control puffed…

I think goal clothes are good to have, but I wouldn't go too overboard. Save some fun for when you ARE that weight and can actually enjoy the whole process of going to a shop, trying on that size 12 and looking great in the dressing room mirror. It will feel so much more exciting than just buying clothes for the future.…

Maybe you should remind her? It isn't a cruel thing to do. She's obviously spent so long hating her larger self, being angry and disappointed with herself, that now she's directing that anger at other people who remind her of how she used to be and feel. To me she doesn't sound like an inherently horrible person; but it’s…

If you can't fit it into your day or just really don't want to eat it (and can't find anyone else who wants it); never feel guilty about discreetly throwing it out. This has been a problem for me too, it feels so wasteful/ungrateful, but I remind myself what's worse-it ending up in the bin or ending up on my thighs?
-
I actually said 'holy *kitten*!' ..out loud, when I scrolled down to your after pic. Thought you should know that. :O Very inspiring; and you are freakin' hot! I think to be fair to the single ladies in your area, you should walk the streets shirtless so all can enjoy the view. Cheers!

I think unless you're uncontrollably scoffing the entire loaf in one sitting; you're ok. Enjoy your white bread! IIFYM

Quick question; what exactly is a potluck? Do you swap dishes or is it like 'everyone bring a plate and feast' kinda deal? Forgive me, I'm Australian and have never been involved in one lol. I guess they're not a big thing here ;) Edit: Also if it is a big sharing thing, are you able to bring something? If so, why don't…

Maybe just log it as half? If you threw up shortly after taking the pills/feeling the nausea I doubt your body had much time to absorb all of the calories. I'd play it safe and just log half, that way if you get your appetite back later you won't overeat, but you won't be restricting yourself too much either.

I'm not so worried; I've learnt good portion control and if I know I can only work in 1-2 Easter eggs I know it won't turn into a crazed chocolate-frenzy. But gawd, does it suck how many calories are in chocolate! Deliciousness comes at a hefty price. Today I had a look at a small Chocolate-chicken thing, and the crafty…

Redrock deli honey & soy chicken potato chips. Mmmm so good! I still have them from time to time, difference being I now have the control to have a small bowl instead of a whole family sized bag lol!!

Not even going to read it, how ridiculous. Next month they'll have a big article about rising obesity rates and the 'lazy nation' of depressed unhealthy people who never leave their lounge rooms. Sadly, there are plenty of people who will read it and readily accept it, because it gives them the justification they're…

Wow you go girl!! Show the world what we Aussies can do haha ;D You look amazing, be proud!
