You could still log it and just put 1 in the calories burned box. Just tried it and it works!

What are you doing to lose the weight? Just tracking calories isn't always enough, especially if you are struggling with hunger. Protein shakes, walking tons, and cutting back on sweets are going to help you prepare and will have a positive impact on your success afterwards. I also recommend doing some strength training…

Thanks everyone. I think at this point I am going to go forward with meeting with my surgeon. I've done some research into weight gain following gastric bypass. I don't think my PCP is wrong that I can't do it alone and that medical help is necessary. I eat a small meal, then within 30-45 minutes feel starving all over…

Had a bad last week, kind of falling off the horse a bit where working out is concerned. It was a cold rainy week, so no bike rides since last Tuesday, and I fell prey to stress and adult beverage stress therapy. I also slept weird on my neck one night and couldn't move it without extreme pain until yesterday...just an…

It's just been a stressful week. My SO got some good news about a big raise and…

Stress is so bad for you, not only because of the stress eating, but that it can cause an excess gain of belly fat. Something that I've been trying, after stress got really bad for me and my counselor recommended it, is called MBSR, or Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. It sounds hokey and crazy new age, but it's just…

@ScrAgnX My muscles don't really ache the day after a ride, it's just fatigue when using stairs and sometimes when not wearing good shoes (YOU CAN PULL MY SANDALS FROM MY COLD DEAD FEET). I did do two rides two days in a row, trying to take advantage of the nice weather before the rain later this week. I should probably…

Did another 7 miles on my bike last night without incident, but I was really dragging towards the end so I'm not going to push myself too much more for now and just stick to twice around the park and home while I build up some strength. I've been noticing a lot of fatigue in my muscles lately...probably need to start…

@ScrAgnX I strongly considered it, but I really didn't want to stop to call....just wanted to get home. As soon as I got to my house and in the back yard they drove off. When I checked the front after I locked my bike up they were gone so I just let it go. I will definitely consider it if it happens again.

Rode 6 miles on my bike yesterday, but not a very fun 6 miles. Got "stalked" by a truck full of local frat boys who just thought it was hilarious to yell rude things at me. They followed me for a good mile and a half as I was riding home from the nearby park on a bike lane, all the way off the main road and to my house. I…

My family hails Irish American as well, proven by my green eyes and grandpa's (formerly) bright red hair! Living in New Orleans being an immigrant town we have tons of St Patrick's Day celebrations. My favorite is in the Irish part of town on the Saturday before St Patrick's Day, called the Irish Channel Parade. They throw…

Yay bike riding!!

This past weekend definitely got away from me. I logged as best I could, but I definitely didn't log everything (bye bye bottle of rum....). Going out to eat and enjoying my visiting family who came down here for the St Patrick's Day festivities was worth it, though, and I am back on track today and for the rest of the…

I did a high fat low carb diet for 6 months 2 years ago and lost 70 lbs. I also restricted calories, however. I enjoyed it, for the most part, as I completely lost my appetite and once I fully acclimated, I felt amazing. I think most people in the community (reddit.com/r/keto mostly) I encountered fully believed in the…

Have you tried fortified cereals? I usually do 1/2 to 1 serving per day to help with my anemia. Quaker Oatmeal Squares are great for a quick snack and pack 90% of your DRV iron, which is one of the hardest to get and better digested than a supplement.

Didn't make it to the gym yesterday, silly take-home work. Also didn't get a chance to cook thanks to said take-home work. There's just not enough hours in the day to do everything when you work 60 hours a week and like to sleep 8-9 hours a day, which I find very frustrating. My health is just as important as this silly…

BMI is really finicky, and doesn't account for things like muscle mass or excess skin. I wouldn't worry about it. Your goal weight may even change when you get to 160 if you see the need for more or need for muscle gains. Just focus on being healthy and comfortable in your own skin. If they don't support you in that, then…

Got my SO to go to the gym with me last night!! So proud of him! He has (much) less to lose than me, but it's good to know we're both trying to get healthy. We got a good 45 minutes of cardio in with some strength training too! If the weather clears up today I plan on going for a bike ride, otherwise it'll be back to the…

Let's do some goals for this week! 1. Go to the gym or bike 10 miles 5 times. 2. Do not drink any alcohol! None! Zip! Zilch! No matter what my brain or best friend says, we do NOT need rum to have a good time! 3. Stop forgetting my small water bottle when I go to the gym. 4. Non-weight loss related, but finally put my…

The best thing I did was go and get "fitted" for a bike. It's a "comfort bike" and the most comfortable bike I have ever used. You don't feel like you're leaning down or anything, very natural. Picture

I agree with what everyone else has said. I also want to add that your post here, and calling out depression is a great first step. Once you recognize and grasp what depression is and how it affects you, I personally think that it is easier to deal with moving forward. This TED talk about depression is also really…

I'm a little late to the game but I'm here! I'll use my recorded weight from 3/2 for my first weight. Name: Lauren Height: 5'6'' Starting Weight (3/2): 323 Goal Weight (3/31): 310 3/2: 323 3/9: 318 3/16: 3/23: 3/30: I'm trying the "work out as much as possible so I don't have to worry as much about calories" approach, and…

I'm a huge fan of bicylcing personally. At my largest I was bigger than you, and my bike and I have been best friends no matter what weight I have been at. I always struggle with walking for fitness because of issues with my feet, but I have little issue with my bike (except my butt getting a little sore sometime!). It's…

I was working at a late night dive bar after losing my "real people job," he was a friend of a friend and became a regular after he met me. He'd stay up on the weekends with me until 6-7am talking, helping me get through the long shifts and going to breakfast with me afterwards. Turns out, despite the fact that he is from…

I once had a blind date who met me at my house (communal, with roommates there, he was friends with one of my roommates, not private at all). I had to run next door to grab something at the store before we left, and he dashed in that time. It's okay, though. I wanted to hang out with my friends that night anyway, other…

Even when I was sick with a cold and felt like crap and got kicked out of work I still had a ton of energy to get some cleaning done in the house....keto is great like that.

I just eat them. I'm not very creative. But I love them. Great quick snack. I don't eat nearly enough of them. I just wish they were cheaper.
