I agree with this. The interns at our studio volunteer for a couple of hours once a week and get free classes...might be worth looking in to :) I go to 3-5 classes a week and average 4 or 5. I also teach 1-3 classes a week.

I used to be 'your wife'...very true story...I was a Vegan/vegetarian for the entire time that i have been with hubby, over 8-9 years total...until I read 'The Vegetarian Myth' about 2 years ago...life changing to say the least. Now I am the one that pushed for us to get a beef/chicken and now pork share...and am trying to…

Hubby has Crohns and I have recently started having issues with Gluten so we are in the process of weeding out Gluten right now...I am not excited for the de-tox even though I am excited for the bloating, cramping, etc to go away lol :) We already do a lot of cooking from scratch and whole foods...I am hoping to transition…

i completely agree with this...focus on the present moment and be gentle with yourself, do the poses you can and focus on your instructors instructions... i try to have a snack about 2-3 hours before class and eat a small snack soon after class ends (cheese stick or apple or lara/pure bar). also check your hydration…

Backstory: Ran XC in high school, ran as part of mandatory fitness and did some small races (5Ks, a 12K, and a 12 person151 mile Relay) while in the military. Started running more consistently in 2005/6 while overseas, this continued when I moved back to the US. First Half in Spring 2009. Planned Half in Fall 2009 until I…

it could be the instertion point where some of the ligaments attach to the bones on the side of your foot...i have had similar pain on the outside of my food after a race due to pronation issues. If ice and stretching isnt helping i dont think that i would run the 5 miler...maybe try swimming for cardio instead this week.…

I find that the only way to committ to morning runs is to run with a partner...the 'accountability' factor gets me up and out the door more times than I can count... This happened to me this morning...I didnt eat well last night at the ball game and was dreading my run, my workout partner didn't let me back out and I was…

I burned 3179 calories this week mostly walking and gardening, with a couple of hot yoga classes and a boot camp class thrown in. Hoping to continue with this level of calorie burn and get my eating better under control on the weekends:)

I don't think that the humidity is too bad (but I live in VA and our humidity outside the class is worse than inside the class)...it is warm/hot in the room, but if you arrive 15-20 minutes early you should be acclimated to the heat by the time the class starts...you will sweat a lot, but I find the depth and quality of…
