If you have checked that you are logging correctly, and ruled out any issues, sometimes it helps to mix things up a bit. Take your total calories for the week and shuffle them a bit so that you have a higher than normal intake for a day or two and on a few of the other days, a lower than normal. Try to keep your weekly…

I have found that once I start running, I warm up fairly quickly. The moisture wicking shirts are great, but it would be a shame to have to forego your costume! I recommend wearing layers that can be removed as you get warm - the problem is finding the discarded layer when the run is done or having to carry it. If it it…

I did WW and hit my goal and made lifetime 10 1/2 yrs ago after losing 75lbs. I have always had issues with my weight ever since I was a little girl, but in these 10 yrs I have maintained my loss. If I notice the weight starting to creep back on, I have the tools (learned at WW) to take control and make sure that I am…

Without knowing where exactly you moved from and where you are now, my first thought, as another poster said, was a difference in altitude. If you think that may be the case, slow it down until you get a little more acclimated.

They wouldn't even have to be all that - just a plant that grows doughnuts is a good start!

Mine is only showing the box and then "lbs" for pounds. The ST might be stone (how they measure weight in England...) Just a guess, not sure quite what you are looking at since it is not like that on mine...

If your body is truly hungry - feed it! Also, the bleeding may be depleting your iron stores and it is possible that is why you're hungry. Is this is 'normal' reaction to the medication? You may wish to check with your doctor... Good luck!

Right now I can't remember the amount of water so this is a guess... - can someone else help? But essentially, this will work for any boxed cake mix, any flavor. 1 box commercial cake mix (be aware that if you use a light colored cake, it will be orangish...) 1 can pumpkin 1/2 cup (???) water Do not add the oil or eggs it…

Is it a campsite that you drive to and then hike for leasure  or are you hiking to the campsite? If you can drive up to the site, you have a lot more options since you won't have to haul everything on your back. I love having fried bacon cooked on a fire; you can fry some eggs right in the same pan/griddle. Hard…

Eat healthy, drink water, and watch your sodium - this should help with any additional puffiness. You already realize it will probably not all go away by the time you leave for holiday, but just concentrate on good habits.

Sounds like you are like me - I definitely need protein in the morning! Hard boiled eggs and Greek yogurt are my go to. Sometimes (especially on cold, rainy days) I'll have oatmeal and add some protein powder. Tuna (in the pouch) is also a good 'take to work' source of protein. I put it on top of my salad from the co…

Don't know about the UK, but in the US Egg Beaters sell 'Just Whites.' They come in a carton (like a milk carton) and are usually sold next to the whole eggs.

I am at a different place in my life right now than you are, but have been there and know what you are going through. There are many challenges to be faced the first year of college and for a lot of us, the struggle with gaining weight was just one more piled on top of the others. It sounds like you have reached the spot…

A little more emphasis on what an earlier poster said: don't try anything new! Specifically, don't eat anything that you haven't tried eating before a run before! Eat a good meal the night before, hydrate adequately starting now, and have a wonderful time! I would also recommend getting there a little bit early; if they…

Do a google search for the restaurant's nutritional information - sometimes they'll have it even if it is not listed on the menu (sometimes not). If you can't find that specific restaurant, check a different Thai restaurant that does have the NI. You will be able to compare on that menu which items might be better choices…

Check Title Nine Sports www.titlenine.com. They have a wide variety with descriptions of them all. Sometimes they mention the brand, but unfortunately most of the time they don't. You'll find them much more reasonably priced somewhere else, but it is a good place to start to view a bunch at once.. My favorite is made by…

Lift heavy things and put them down! I love that commercial! But it's true. Anything you have heavy in the house can be used: something as light as soup cans or heavier like bricks, concrete blocks, etc.

My first question would be whether or not the 100mcg has regulated your numbers appropriately. Once you are "normal" you should be able to lose as easily (haha!) as those with uncorrected 'normal' thyroid function - or at least that has been my experience. Is there any other possible cause? A food allergy maybe?

Is it anything specific you are craving? Something salty? sweet? tangy? It sounds like you are hitting most of your nutrients, but maybe your body is craving something that it is not getting. Hormones (regardless of TOM) do all kinds of weird things and they might be contributing. I would eat what your body is asking for…

Both. I know that doesn't help! When I had a lot to lose, I found it easier to have a handful of 'go-to' meals that were healthy, filling, and the right amount of calories I needed for that particular meal. Knowing what I was going to have made it so much easier. After awhile, though, it does get old so I would mix it up.…

I copy and paste them into a word document and then have a folder in My Documents where I keep them. I also print off the one I am planning on making and keep it in my cookbook.

I add it to oatmeal - the vanilla at least. The chocolate was just awful!

When I use protein powders, I have to use soy products due to a milk allergy. There have been conflicting studies, though, about the potential to overdo soy because of it's potential effect on hormones. That said, I love the Spiru-Soy vanilla! GNC also has a soy based powder which is ok - you have to really look for it…

I found an incredibly yummy recipe in Southern Living Cookbook for smothered enchiladas. To make it lighter and healthier, I replaced half (you could do all if you like) the ground beef with fat free refried beans for less fat and more fiber; I replaced one can of cream of chicken soup (it called for two...) with enchilada…

Same here!!! (on both the treadmill and the elliptical...). Everyone looks at me like I'm weird or something when I tell them the elliptical hurts my knees. Yes, there is no impact, but for me I think it has something to do with the 'steps' being too wide. For me, I think it is the angle of my knees to my hips that just…

I can't offer any advice on gyms, but I spent several weeks in the Tucson area for training and absolutely love it there! I was ready to move until one of my training courses went into June and I got a taste of how 'warm' it can get.I was so excited to see plants and animals out there that we just don't have on the east…

Some high(er) intensity cardio is probably what would do him good. It will him trim up all over. Does he like racquetball or anything? A lot of the guys in my unit do the P90X or Insanity as they consider it more acceptable than some of the other exercise videos. Good luck to him!

ZZ, I am so sorry about the loss of your brother. I'm not sure if I am the best person to offer advice since my fitness goals are a bit different, but just based on what you have said my initial reaction is that maybe you could try concentrating on a combination of cardio and strength training and not go straight for the…
