My boyfriend is supportive but not overly so. He always tells me that I look great and gets mad when I say I need to lose weight. He's a bit bigger himself and doesn't want to do much to change it... but that's fine with me. I want to get myself into better shape and lose the weight, and my boyfriend says that as long as I…

You can add me too! I'm looking for the same thing.

If you have to take some time off, you could always cross train. Swimming, biking, the elliptical, and other machines can help you stay in shape while reducing the stress on your body.

Head up, don't drag your feet too much, and don't swing your arms across your chest. If you start out with proper form then you will maintain proper form.

Run with friends! Join a team, club, or bring a pal along.

Yogurt, jello, bananas, pudding, eggs, and fruit smoothies!! Although they recommend that you don't eat a ton of dairy for the first few days. Something to do with the bacteria I guess.
-
I love these yogurts! I think you should be fine if you stay within your calorie limits and your sugar is not too high. The fruit ones taste good in smoothies with bananas!

Hi! :) I'm 5 feet even! Feel free to add me, I'm looking for some friends that share the struggle of being short. lol.

Congrats on starting to jog! Yes, this is normal. With running you can get in shape fairly quickly if you keep it up. In PE is probably wasn't enough running to make a difference.

I'm in! This is a great motivator!

I usually drink around 80 oz. How do you keep yourself from using the bathroom every five minutes?! I have that problem, so during school I usually feel dehydrated because I have to drink way less.

I'm 5 feet even! Lost about 6 so far, but I just keep bouncing up and down from 140 to 141! I can't get down any more!

I think that you should buy plain yogurt instead of fruit instead of wasting the delicious fruit.

I would up your protein intake. Cut out breads and eat more meat, fruit, and vegetables. I recently had trouble losing and by experimentation I found that this seems to work. Good luck!

gmaps-pedometer.com is the one I've always used.

Congrats on deciding to do a 5k! The night before, eat a high-carb meal, such as pasta, so you will have energy for the race. Don't do anything out of the ordinary (new shoes/clothing, ect.). If you do eat before you run, eat something light and at least an hour before the race. Lay out everything the night before so you…

Between 3.3 and 4.0 (depending on the incline). Usually I do 3.6 on incline 11 for 30-60 minutes. Sometimes I jog first.

My absolute minimum weight loss is 11 pounds, but my ultimate goal is to lose 20!

Sweat is fat crying.

I have the same problem when I go on the treadmill. I put the incline up to about 9 or 10 when so I know I'm still getting a good amount of calorie burn even though I only run for 15-20 minutes. I would recommend going outside. It's much more exciting! Grab a friend, if you can! Having a set loop and knowing I have to…

1) My dad was a vegetarian. For many years all we ate was pasta, pasta, and more pasta. 2) I had no sense of control over my eating. I have a huge sweet tooth, and sweets are always in my house. I never had portion control restrictions set by myself or my parents. I could eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. 3) I…

I'm in! 750 for today!

I'm 5 feet even and I try to net around 1000-1200 per day. Lately I've been going way over that though....

I think doing cardio daily is okay as long as you are smart about it. For example, I rotate between biking, elliptical, and treadmill on different days of the week. As long as you are not over exercising and putting too much strain on your body you should be fine.

I like smoothies with 1 chobani greek yogurt (140-160 calories), a banana (110 calories apprx.), and 1/2 a cup of 2% milk (55 calories). Makes for a delicious and filling breakfast.

I really like this idea! I always get bored on the treadmill after about 15 minutes.

Lol, same with me. Feel free to take a look.
