I can totally relate! I've been messing around for the last whole year and have gained back 22 of my 75 hard lost pounds. I need to find my inner strength again and commit to get back on the losing track. I had been enjoying all the complements I was getting but I've sure messed it up.

So, if I send a friend request from my mobile device, you would just delete it? That's harsh!

Thanks for posting this!

Just add the 6 pounds to your starting weight too. You still have lost the same amount of pounds, just the numbers are a bit different.

Ha ha ha! :D I too have used artificial sweeteners for many years. I don't buy in to all the fear mongering. I happen to like my coffee and tea sweet so I use a brand name that contains sucralose. I've tried stevia too but still prefer the sucralose. I also use the water flavours like Mio and Crystal Light which also…

Plan to have a certain number of calories to use daily for your evening snacks. I'm an evening muncher too and I need to be sure to have room within my daily totals for something in the evening. Also, I know for myself, evening eating is more habit than hunger. Sometimes I can be good with a cup of flavoured tea sweetened…

Kinda interesting. Thanks!

I was in the store the other day and two 1 pound chocolate bunnies hopped into my cart and I was forced to purchase them, then eat them all by myself...

Saving for future reference!

Thanks for the link! More reason to get back to "real" foods!

Right!! It would become a slippery slope right back to where I was if I didn't record it all!

I have really noticed the advance of age in my less fatty face. I have jowls that weren't there before. Not sure I have the patience to do all the cleansing/toning/massage stuff twice a day. I do use a facecloth (no soap or cleanser) twice a day and use moisturizer at night. I don't often wear makeup anymore - only if it…

I just found a BMI chart and discovered that I am in the overweight category too! The goal weight my doctor set for me is still within the overweight area though... So, unless she will reconsider my goal weight, I may not get to "normal" :'( I am tempted to still define my own goal weight at the top end of normal.

I've experienced some of this myself. I found that it is sometimes those who I may have confided in or complained about my weight to at some point who feel that, because I confided in them or made a comment regarding weight, they now have the right to police what I am eating or doing. I believe that, for the most part,…

These sound so good! I might try them both ways and compare. Thank you both!

I agree. I generally only count actual physical exercise that is over and above my normal daily activities. I have logged things like cleaning the garage because I actually worked hard. However, I only logged about a quarter of the actual time.

This one sounds good too!

Sounds good!

I'm 5'8" now (I have shrunk) and still very much a work in progress. I have set my goal at 155 since that would put me in a healthy BMI but I am 60 yrs old! My daughter thinks this may be too low a weight for me so I will clear it with my doctor next time I have an appointment. I need to get a recent photo but I am down 57…

Sounds like something I might like! Thanks!

I need to try this!

I find it extremely hard to stay under the sugar allowance too. I just try to limit stuff with added refined sugar (although some of that does creep in now and then). I tend to agree with the previous poster and not worry about it only much as long as the sugars are those that occur from whole foods. By the way, I live in…

Hi. I started monitoring my caloric intake in mid-June of 2012. Since then, I have lost 56 pounds WITHOUT any weight-loss surgery. I feel that it has been fairly easy so far. I've done better using this method than I ever did on any weight-loss plan that cost a huge amount of money! I'm likely much less active than most…

Sounds delicious!

Great ideas for cooking both Tilapia and Salmon!

Looks yummy!

It took me about 5 & 1/2 months. I have consistently kept my calorie intake OVER 1200 daily and mostly under my MFP goal. I have my settings in MFP to lose 1 pound per week and sedentary. There were days when I went over on my calories but there were more days when I was under but never under 1200. I also have eaten as…

Thanks for the great carrot dip recipes. I'm going to have to give them a try!

It does not seem to be available on Netflix, at least not here in Canada. Also, the hulu.com site does not work in Canada either. Bummer!

^^ Me too!! I'm willing to bet there were all kinds of people who were against electric stoves way back when too because the electrical force would destroy the food... Any method of heating foods and liquids changes it - doesn't matter if its over an open fire, in an oven or in the microwave. Same, same, same. It's called…
