Sounds like you've already got good advice here, but I'll just offer this anyway. http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/the-ultimate-weight-training-workout-routine/ Might take some digging, but there's a piece somewhere in there comparing the merits of full body workouts vs. 3 and 4 day/week upper/lower splits that I found…

Hmm... Lagavulin 16. The first time I had it was in Amsterdam.

Ashtanga yoga can be good. It's geared more toward strength.

C'mere.

It's not a "positive" thing, it's just not a negative thing. Being outwrestled by someone who knows how to wrestle is nothing to feel bad about, even if you do have 40lbs. on them.
-
That makes an enormous difference. If you've been shown a few holds and how to break holds, you're going to kick *kitten* when wrestling someone who hasn't been shown these things. That's all technique.

It's certainly important with lifting--especially with squats. It's the difference between hurting your back and... not.

Oh, I thought he always turned bread into fish before he ate it.

Hmm... I think Jesus did paleo, and he was *ripped*.

Ronald McDonald.

Hmm... I honestly never get any. :P Or maybe I don't notice them. Hmm.

Logging my performance and loading the next bar takes up a big chunk of it, but I usually have a movie or tv show playing, too.

Damn skippy. NOBODY makes reasonable assumptions about ME and gets away with it.

I was in a toy store looking for GI Joes for my little nephew and someone asked me if I used to play with them.

I cut it all off every 30 days or so, so it's always new hair.

I would suggest just playing around with the equipment in shallow water for a whole weekend. Just sit in the shallow end of a pool or some other calm, shallow spot and play with the gear. Take it off, put it on, clear the mask underwater, clear the reg, take your bcd off, put it back on, etc. Just sit and relax and enjoy…

Yeah, same here. :/

Depends on how you do it. If you just eat tons of calories, it'll definitely make weight loss slower. It's all about your weekly average of calories, so if you're doing, say, a 400 calorie deficit for six days, and then eat an extra 2400 calories on your cheat day, you've eaten at maintenance for the week. Still, I'll do a…

I'd say just walk or swim (if that's handy), until you drop the majority of the weight with a moderate calorie deficit. You don't need to beat yourself up with intense exercise-- just count your calories and eat responsibly.

Do u even lift, Monroe?
-
Do you roast your vegetables? I used to hate vegetables, too, until I started roasting them and experimenting a little. Vegetables can really be delicious.
-
It never even occurred to me to eat it any way but plain. :p

Damn, that's a lot. I lift three days a week, and do yoga once or twice. I'm usually on a three day upper/lower split, but I'll switch over to a 3 day/week 5x5 program occasionally. Any more than that and I feel like I'm just not getting enough recovery time.
-
Eh... calorie deficit... um...
-
Just eating at a caloric deficit will eventually expose those arms you used to have (minus some muscle, as you're bound to lose some as you lose fat). Weight training can minimize the amount of muscle you lose while losing fat. A lot of people around here like 5x5 strength training programs (and they are probably optimal…

Did you do the Couch to 5k routine, or something like that? That worked great for me when I started running. You're basically just progressively shortening the walk periods and increasing the run periods until it's a solid block of running.

It really doesn't matter. Whatever's comfortable. I generally don't use gloves myself. If I was really trying to avoid callouses though... personally, I'd use some of those thin gardening gloves that breath well and have the rubbery texture on the palms. Yeah, I'd look fairly ridiculous, but who cares. Weight lifting…

I expect you're eating more than you think you are. Do you log absolutely everything, and weigh food? Just looking at the log you posted, I expect that count is low. People usually put sugar, butter, or both on their oats, for instance, and I don't see anything logged with it. Do you eat it plain? Pork chops also tend to…
