Mine was simple but it's message was pure... "Mmmmmm... balls."

I'm at 15 days now and I know you'll find the people here very lovely. Feel free to add me if you want, and we can chat. I have a long way to go but I've made progress already just in 15 days!

Honestly, I don't know! I've never been anything other than fat as an adult and so have no idea what size I'll end up being when I'm down to my goal weight. I guess, in Australian sizing, I'd like to be a 12 at most (Australian sizing is different, I think your 0 is our... 6? 8? Something like that. Our plus size stores…

Cook off the onions and then add the rest basically and cook til the sauce thickens and the veg are soft. Is there a calorie cound on that?

Ooh nice website, thanks! I found it a little dearer in the fact that my usual meat shopping included lots of mince (low grade cause it's cheaper) and sausages - I've had to rethink that of course to allow for leaner whole meat or premium low-fat mince. But really the fact is that it's cheaper than constant doctors' visits…

I only add exercise that's over and above my 'usual day' stuff. Today, for example, I walked all around Brisbane City with my choir kids for Fete de la Musique. That was the best part of 2 hours' walking as well as playing guitar, conducting and teaching. I counted the walking because that's not a normal part of my working…

I so completely agree with you! It's like when I quit smoking - I didn't do it for a while, I didn't do it for a specific event. I'm changing who I am and how I treat myself. I quit permanently and irrevocably. No exceptions, no excuses. This is how I feel about this. I am changing the way I look at food, exercise, sleep,…

Hmm... It can really vary can't it? I'm looking to get down to 75kg, see what I look like and go from there, cause I have NEVER as an adult been a healthy weight. My doctor said the theory is 55-65kg (double it to work in lb) but as I say, I'm just going for 75kg and then re-assess the situation, since that's quite enough…

Agreed. 2-3 times/week is what a personal trainer advised me, because it balances building muscle and building too much muscle. She emphasised that I should be doing cardio about double what I do for weights too, so 2 weights sessions a week means a minimum of 4 cardio sessions.

My sister is on a different diet plan that gives her a cheat day once a week. She likes it because it means that when the crowd go to a dessert restaurant for a birthday or something equally calorific, she can relax and know that she isn't breaking her promises to herself. I thought I might give that a go, because then a…

A question for everyone, does anyone else here have a 'naughty day' once per week?

I give myself one day a week to just chill and NOT think about calories. I still log them just so I'm aware of what's going on, but there's no expectation that I'll stick to my 1200. But hey, life happens, and as long as you stay motivated and don't let it happen too often, a little here or there over isn't going to ruin…

Hey thanks for that! I'm certainly starting to get to know this new acquaintance - exercise for its own sake. Before, I've played some soccer and whatnot, just for fun, but never been very good at exercising for calorie burn rather than for *fun*. But I know that you're right, I got up early today and went to the gym and…

Sweetie please don't take this the wrong way but GB surgery isn't the answer. It's willpower. That's really hard to have on your own, which is why we work together, on here, with family and friends etc. What it sounds like you need is to make your diary public, get lots of random friends on here and remember to BE HONEST…
