I've had an IUD (Mirena) for 6 years now (took out the first after five years and immediately replaced it) with no issues whatsoever. I actually started my initial weight loss journey shortly after the first one was implanted and the weight came off easily. I never noticed any changes as far as appetite and I've also lost…

Thanks for the tip! I plan on starting there first, but my main issue is lack of space; in an apt with roommates, second floor. I have every intention of creating my own gym when I buy a house (hopefully within the next year or two!) But until then I'm kinda screwed. I'm also planning on creeping on the apt gym to see when…

Thank you so much! I shall start there and work on getting my own gym when I'm able.

Thank you! I've read about body recomp here on the forums and have researched it a little bit on my own and I would absolutely LOVE to get into lifting, but from what I understand it needs to be done at the gym or with the proper equipment at home? I avoid the gym because I tend to get very anxious in public places with a…

First off, I absolutely love this thread! Sometimes I think the best support for ANYTHING is realizing you're not the only one. I've been reading all 4 million pages of this thread (while I should be doing homework) for the last 5 hours, not to mention the last few days since I found it so I figured I'd post too. I'm very…

I'm a big fan of Jillian's dvd's. I'm currently doing 30DS for the second time about a year or so after my first time. My results were pretty significant the first time, although I didn't take measurements. I think I lost 10 pounds the first time; 125 down to 115, or something similar. Not sure about inches. This time I'm…

You've done an amazing job so far; you look fantastic! Yay for progress pics! :)

I get the same symptoms prior to a migraine, except I will usually see dots as well as many of the others you mentioned. I cannot eat anything with MSG in it as it is a trigger for my migraines, so if it were me, I'd question the turkey. Just an idea, but I hope you figure it out! :)

I started it yesterday and while level one was ok, it didn't give me the burn I was looking for. I'll do level one again today (and probably up my weights) then probably jump to level two tomorrow. I'm looking forward to results as I've read some good things about it. I also have 6W6P that I plan on doing after this :)

I am ALWAYS terrified when it comes to making adjustments to my diet or exercise, but I'm trying to learn all of the ins and outs of what it means to be healthy rather than to just "weigh less" so I'm taking some chances. Reasonable, researched chances. At this point I feel confident that if I change something and for…

Thank you so much! You've been a lot of help :)

Thanks! I apologize if I might sound a little bit ignorant, but I'm new to the whole muscle building vs. muscle strength vs weight loss vs fat loss etc., but I'm working on understanding the differences more. I agree that I have made my muscles stronger, and not so much muscle gain, I at least understand that much, but is…

Thank you. I've limited my access to my scale due to the fact that I was scale obsessed, so I weigh myself about once a month now and judge my progress based on measurements and weight at the end of a set of 30 days, and also on how my clothes are fitting in between. I've been on 1200 calories for too long to remember, so…

I bought Mizuno's women's running shoes, Wave Inspire 9. I was running in a running shoe made for trails prior to buying my Mizuno's, and needless to say those were giving me blisters on the treadmill. The Mizuno's run between $100-115 for the newest version of the line you're looking for, but they are well worth it. I…

Yup, the same thing happens to me! Bread, dairy, and broccoli are the main culprits for me, and of course I enjoy(ed) all of them very much. Dairy is probably the worst, as I can eat one ice cream scoop and a short time after I feel bloated as well as look like I'm preggers. So, I cut out all three :( I do allow myself my…

I was exactly where you are when I decided to start JM! I am not concerned with losing weight, my goal was to simply tone, tighten up, and hopefully get my stubborn belly into check. I finished 30DS about a week ago and started RI30 the next day. I was very pleased with my results from 30DS; I lost both inches and weight…

I just completed 30DS the day before yesterday and started RI30 this morning. I'm not familiar with Nerd Fitness, but before Jillian Michaels I wasn't a fan of strength training either. What I do like about her workouts is that the intervals are 30 seconds each, then you move on to the next set, which helps keep the…

I've already limited my grains and I limit my dairy to my greek yogurt for breakfast and I've switched to almond milk. I haven't heard about fruits being a culprit of swelling, and I eat quite a bit of fruit throughout the day as it's my go-to snack food. You mention limited fruit; what would be a "good" limit? PS thanks…

Thanks for the response. I am technically at my goal weight, I'm really only trying to tone my mid section at this point. 3 years ago when I lost all my weight I made the mistake of dietingwith no exercising, so for the last year or so I've been working on toning, which is going great except for that. at this point, would…
