12 weeks in...35 pounds gone forever!

Taking a magnesium supplement has helped my migraines tremendously.

Lol Brian. I am also a masochist. I did a 20 miler on a dreadmill. Ugh. One of the worst days of my life.

Good luck! I had a peroneal tendon repair. Was total non weight bearing for 7 weeks and in the boot for 3 more! I couldn't work at all because I am a nurse. I gained 10 lbs but I took that off pretty quickly when I got to start walking again. What I did at home was various leg raises, an work and upper body stuff with free…

Hcg levels peak in a woman's first trimester. Elevated hcg levels have been associated with a temporary hyperthyroid state...maybe that is the thought process.

I have been averaging 35-40 g carbs and stay in ketosis!

I am in the same boat. My goal is 71 lbs. I was doing great and let some family drama get the best of me and I have gone completely off the deep end. Time to take control of my life! !!

What does your doctor say about all off this? You need 300 calories above your maintenance goal for a healthy pregnancy. "Eating for two" is a really not the case. Current guidelines are a gain of 25-35 pounds if you are of a normal weight prior to pregnancy and 15 pounds if you are morbidly obese. While it is certainly…

Lost 109 pounds on one of the older plans and quit going to meetings when they changed the plan to not take calories into consideration and when they were okay with all that fake fiber. I just rejoined, because after reading about the new Smart Points, it actually makes much more sense nutritionally to me. Eat more lean…

I am also in! I found out yesterday that I need ankle surgery...have it scheduled for March 4th and I would like to be in a good place before I have to start hobbling around on crutches for 4 weeks!
-
Certainly add me as well. I am back on board and feeling strong this time around. I found out today I have to have surgery on my ankle and I would like to be in a good place weight wise so the 4 weeks of crutches won't kill me!

I am a runner and dealt with it for 9 months last year. Did the taping, frozen water bottles, streching, oral steriods, night boot and cortisone injections. I finally read an article that talked about strengthening your foot with the use of minimalist shoes or walking around barefoot. I was very hesitant because after an…

I have some kick *kitten* definition in my arms under my sagging skin. Short of having it surgically removed, I am not sure how much more I can do about it. I am just going to keep on lifting!!
-
I, too, eat my exercise calories back. I am just careful about being accurate with my exercise and I try to wear my heart rate monitor!
-
Great for you! You totally smashed your goal...what an accomplishment!!!

The heat has definitely slowed me down this summer!

I enjoy spin, but I have honestly found the stair climber to give me a great cardio workout!! I also strength train two days a week and run four days.

Hello, I am Christine! Hitting the big 4-0 in less than a month. I gained weight training for my first Chicago Marathon in 2010. Since then I have been battling a myraid of running injuries including: pelvic stress fracture, PF, calf strain, and posterior tibials tendonitis. Finally feeling back to myself, trying to get…

Yes. I never go off of MFP. I have a heart rate monitor with a chest strap to determine my calorie burn.

I would be a little worried about wearing one for the Warrior. I did two Warrior Dashes last year and I amount of mud was quite significant. Definetly don't wear anything that you are worried about keeping! Have a blast. I am not doing Wisconsin this year because it's too close to the marathon I am training for and I don't…

Wow! Impressive start to the month. All my miles are from running....training for the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon...
-
Going for 100....

Planks are definitely great. And for the back things like the Superman exercise and walk backwards. I sit on an exercise ball at work and it has helped my back and core tremendously.
-
Good for you!
-
I use a heart rate monitor to determine my burn because I feel that sometimes the site is very "generous" with calories and doesn't account for fitness level.

I understand. It's hard to weed through all the crap. I run marathons. My family definitely doesn't understand. Unfortunately, the negative feedback comes right along with the positive. Either decide to learn how to filter it or quit FB posting and come here. Hang in there.
