They are easier than you think, but they wear you out quickly. Start real slow, like 10 reps (flip one rope up then the other.) And be prepared for a bit of DOMS. I think it's a good all over body exercise, even your legs, because you really have to plant yourself to do them. Give them a shot. What do you have to lose?

Day 24 done. Took a lot less time without the squats it seemed.

W4D1 done. I've tipped the balance - more running than walking now. I'm drained. But it was 80 degrees and muggy out, so that didn't help. And I stopped huffing and puffing much faster than the first week. I'll be fine once I do this a couple more times.

I lose weight from the top down, so currently I have baby abs (vertical but not horizontal yet) and hips. GraceFitUK I think her name is - she's very thin and actively tries to get a big butt. She has this whole gym routine that allows her to stay extremely thin and curvy at the same time. You could check her out.

Check your form. Look on youtube for tutorials to make sure your position is right. For instance, when you squat, you're legs should be angled out, your knees shouldn't touch.

W3D2 done. Can't believe how quickly I progressed. The first week I'd be huffing and puffing for half an hour after I finished. Now, I'm sweaty, but other than that I recovered so fast you can't even tell I did it.

It gets easier once you get used to it. Slow down! A lot. You can work on your pace later. Long distance running isn't about sprinting. Congrats on the start!
