  • Split Loved it. Heard it was good; it exceeded my expectations. Watch it until the very end, don't turn it off early.

  • Way to go! I started running this year at age 45. I'm up to 9 miles, no breaks. Keep it up!
  • A lot of that gain is going to be water retention from the salt in the prepared foods. You'd have had to have eaten an extra 21000+ calories to gain that much fat. Super unlikely that it happened. Why not aim for a middle ground? Right now you're stressed, so don't go for a diet you need to completely control, and instead…
  • Not when you're starting. Go at a pace that's comfortable for you. Once you've gotten used to running you can work on speeding up.
  • You need a radical change. I was getting burned out at the gym, so I started running, training for a half marathon. After a good break I went back to the gym, it still wasn't doing it for me. So I found a completely new program that I'm sticking to and it's kicking my butt. Another thing you could look into is where you…

  • Learning to breathe. Sounds stupid but it's key. Breathe with your lower lungs, so you stomach goes in and out but your shoulders don't move up and down. I started C25K for the third time on June 26. Finished it and went straight into C210K. Finished that and went into half marathon training. I'm on week 4 of 8. I assume…

  • If you lift weights, especially chest and back exercises, it will help. I have been avoiding deflation by having a very jagged weight loss, gaining 5 for every 10 pounds lost. But also I have dense breasts. That's genetics. Invest in great bras and wear clothes that flatter you, in the way that makes you like how you look.
  • Cuticle oil. Works a charm. I just picked up another tube of the stuff, as a matter of fact. I apply it after a shower when my hands are damp and warm.
  • Yes - but I use it to keep going. I kind of give myself permission to stop. Anytime I want to. No one has a gun to my head. But when I have those thoughts, I then think, I can go a little farther, then I can stop in another minute. 9 times out of 10 I finish my whole workout. Sometimes I stop, and if I do, I check in and…

  • Just starting? Powerade Zero to avoid keto flu - one a day for the first week, can't recommend it enough. Pepperoni for snacks. Avocado/guacamole. All the spices. Butter. Good luck!
  • You look fantastic. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Maybe adjust your macros? More protein and less carbs can help you do a recomp.
  • YouTube is your friend. You can learn how to use any machine by watching videos.
  • Yep The key is to make it a habit so you don't talk yourself out of going.
  • No that's Atkins. Keto is low carb, high fat, moderate protein. The ideal macro breakdown for keto is 5% of calories from carbs, 75% from fat, and 20% from protein. Remember that carbs and protein has ~4 calories per gram, and fat has ~9 calories per gram - don't make the mistake of doing that macro breakdown by weight.…
  • Avocado - great substitute for cheese. 6 grams of carbs per, but 5 grams of fiber, so only 1 gram net.
  • I'm on keto. My fave is to make chocolate whipped cream and freeze it. Divine.

  • When it comes down to it, it's still the calorie deficit that leads to weight loss. Bigger losses means there was a bigger deficit.
  • I go to Wendy's instead and get the chili when I want fast food.
  • Update - I basically took a week off, then did shorter runs. Today I ramped it up again and did a 2 hour run with no soreness at all. Thanks for the advice!

  • Powerade Zero - drink a least one a day
  • You said, all you drink is water and then one coffee. Then you say you have energy drinks. The problem is you're deluding yourself about what you're eating and drinking. Everything counts, you have to record everything, see what you're actually consuming, and then you can figure out a realistic plan going forward.
  • Look up "whooshes and squishy fat" - it will all make sense to you after you read it.
  • I've lost 55 lbs and I'm 45. For me, the key was getting rid of chemical additives in foods. It's just a massive difference. I aim for a keto diet, just because those foods are not super processed - one ingredient foods, no chemicals. I lift weights. That's for toning - I don't lose weight that way. And I've recently…
