I started late. Day 3 done and I'm doing a 5km run beforehand. Hope this shows some results !

When people say they blew it, I always wonder if they have done the calorie numbers. It might not be so bad. Most of the time if i am over my daily goal i will still be under or near my tdee and so still in a calorie deficit or near maintenance levels. Maybe work out the numbers and see if you can stick to maintenance…

Age 49 5'9" 5 kg to top of the healthy weight range My goal is just to do the shred to the best of my ability and progress and keep up my running. My lowest dumbell is 3 kg which is a bit heavy for the lunge and overhead press but I'll give it a go I'll take whatever improvements happen gratefully :)

Hello from Australia! Couldn't resist replying as I'm a huge fan of Your film and tv. Borgen, the killing, royal affair, protectors, unit one....love Nordic noir. Mfp is great, Initially I setup my goals using Mfp settings and as long as I kept within my calorie goal the weight came off. After a while Mfp set me to low…

Lol......I'd take it :) Great work

You are astonishing! I love seeing how your kids grew up in the photos and you transformed yourself. You look confident and proud. Woohoo!

I grew up in country vic and now living in Melbourne. You are welcome to add me and check out my diary if you think it might help. I have my macros set at 40 40 20 protein carbs fat but normally am over on protein. I eat pretty clean and cook for a family of 5. It good to see what other people do but Mfp is great because…

I'm 49 this year so just scrape into the age bracket :(. I've been logging on Mfp since July 1, 2012. A girl can't have too many friends so feel free to add me

I use ismoothrun. It syncs to runkeeper.very happy

I'd like to try growing these in Melbourne too. It's just a bit late to plant ( says to plant spring/ summer) I think I'll give them a try anyway

Absolutely astonishing! Congratulations

I agree if its in your calorie goal, then go right ahead. It's probably worth mentioning 2 things I have learnt though. If I eat natural proteins I don't get as hungry and am more likely to continue on a calorie deficit. When I was really fat I ate lots of carbs and I was really tired all the time. After a carb loaded meal…

A 2 to 3 second spray of canola oil on my frypan to stop food sticking. I'm normally cooking for at least 2 to 5 people so the calories would need to be split. I've been doing Mfp synced with fitbit for over 9 months now. I have all my statistics for average 30day Calorie burn and calories eaten. I keep meaning to set up a…

When I started c25k I used mapmywalk to plan out a 5km route that was fairly flat. I did c25k timed not distance and after finishing each day I would continue on and walk the full 5km. I actually repeated the intervals until I did the full 5 km.

Congratulations. I read every word. Inspiring. Great planning and you followed through wih action. Thanks for posting your story

I'd like to be rid of the need to bump threads. It's annoying to scroll through pages and pages of bumps on popular threads. We should be able to add a thread to my topics without needing to post in the thread. I'd like to be able to export my stats to an excel spreadsheet. I'd like to sync.with runkeeper.

I know what you mean. I just about had a panic attack the first time I ran outside. I cut my Run short and went home. I tried again and got a hat, sunglasses, ponytail and halo headphones. I wore my sons tshirts cause they are long and covered me and i have gone from wearing the 20 yo to the 18yo and now the 15yo shirts.…

I didn't like the taste of almond milk in coffee so I stick with skim. Love almond milk with nutty cereal though

One of my kids had a birthday today and I ate choc ripple cake and toblerone. I've been consistently losing for over 9 months and am not used to rich food anymore. I love it when I am eating it but a little later I feel blah. I think have indulged my Easter choc fetish now and am over it.

You have done an amazing thing. Sorry for your loss, I am sure he would be very proud. Congratulations!

I came back to thank the posters especially for the recommendations for it band stretches. Abashed to say I hadn't heard of these before but google and youtube are my very good friends and I have now added these to my routine. Particularly helpful to prevent overuse injuries for newbies like me

I've given up struggling to walk hills, coughing when I lay down in bed at night because of indigestion, feeling squished into little car, movie and plane seats, feeling old. There's more but those examples flew onto the keyboard. As one of my friends would say, it's so worth it.

My husband is always supportive, we are partners and make a great team. 24 years and 3 sons together and we know each other very well. We both cook, clean, iron, plan meals, shop together. He even does my leslie sansone walk DVDs with me. He won't run though...lol. He has lost weight too, all from his belly :) Edit to add:…

You decide to go for a quick run rather than clothes shopping. You thnk one of your toenails might be about to fall off. :)
-
I'd recommend a pedicure for the self esteem feel good factor :). Looks good in open toe shoes in warmer weather and a great reward for meeting goals and the salon has foot spas and massaging chairs :) Seriously though, I had cut my toenails unevenly and it caused bleeding as the nails grew out. My feet were in pretty good…

That's so cool! Congratulations :) I have had bleeding toes too, the nail on my middle toe was too long and cut Ito the skin on my second toe. Didn't notice till I got home. It was a great reason to have a pedicure. Nowadays my nails are a scarlet warrior red colour and are due for another pedicure soon :)
