I've just done w1 day2 today. THis is my second time doing c25k. I did it about 2 years ago but stopped running over winter. I'm a bit precious about the cooooold :) Anyway back on track and looking forward to more running.

Welcome Lisa, I cant be let out of MFP Land on my own either :) This is not a place for me to lose XX pounds and then move on. It's for life...literally

Hi everyone! So great to see this group grow. Over 50's is such a nice place to hang out. Yes we're all awesome

I bought a new pair of jeans on the weekend - designed to lift and shape your *kitten* :0 Surprised I could move the notches on my trusty old black leather belt by 2 spaces ( about 2 inches) just from wearing the jeans. Lets not talk about the muffin top though :)

I'm keeping those gremlins at bay for 3/4 of my goals. My fitbit step goal let me down last week - I aimed for 70,000 steps and ended up about 54000 so this week I plan to move more. Happy with the not eating in the car goal. It's a bad habit that has to go. Hope everyone is getting stuck in. Good luck this week

Hi Tami, Congrats on the weight loss and keeping it off - cheers

No, never run in a race - not even a 5km. A marathon is way beyond me - I'm slow :)

I did Jm Shred - found it hard. I did C25K a couple of years ago and was running about 7-8km 3 times a week for 9 months or so then tapered off. Theres a facebook group for walk away the pounds that I joined recently. Yesterday someone posted looking for buddies to do a 14 week Couch Potato to 1/2 Marathon training -all in…

I'm doing great in May :). Today we have so much walking outside planned. Have a great weekend everyone!

Are your gremlins swine?.....lol. I'm kind of imagining those whack a mole games that kids play at amusement parks. I''ve got this great big bat raised over my shoulder and I'm whacking those moles everytime they pop their heads up....lol

Good job, Its hard to leave yummy things half eaten.

That is brilliant! What a great feeling my friend :)

Well I'm doing great except for the 10000 steps every day. I can manage it as 70000 steps a week but some days (normally working days) I am under. Maybe I should change my gremlin goal to 70000steps a week. If so, I am king hitting those gremlins I'm in Sydney for the weekend and we have big walking plans. Ferry to Manly…

May 5 Me: 4 Gremlins 1 Very busy day - did a leslie sansone dvd in front of tv to bring my fitbit steps over 10,000 - showered and fell into bed. Still it is done. Dont know if I would have pushed myself to do that if it wasn't for this thread. I really didnt want to let the gremlins win today. You guys are going great.…

2 miles with leslie tonight after a very busy day to top up my fitbit steps and meet my 10000 step goal. Just tripped over the line, showered and fell into bed but it is done :) May 5 10083 steps

Agreed. We have a prime minister who prides himself on physical fitness. I can do without photos of him in his budgie smugglers though

Hi Julie, Welcome and congrats on starting MFP :). Time goes by quickly enough. I like to imagine how I will feel in 3 months time using mfp and sticking to my goals as much as I can :). ~Maree

Yes. Tools like MFP make it so much easier. I remember writing calories in a notepad when I was pregnant with my eldest over 22 years ago.

I've had both and prefer the clasp on the charge hr. Its like a classic wrist watch clasp. Hope it helps

I found that my weigh loss would plateau at weights that I had been in the past for long periods of time. Not sure if it is psychological or what is going on. Basically I say to myself that my body cannot defy the law of physics forever and plow on threw. It can be tough though when you are doing "the right thing" and not…

May 1-3 Me:3 Gremlins: 1 Yesterday I ate mandarins in the car on the way home from shopping. From now on, ALL shopping goes in the boot of the car so I cant reach it. This feels like a confessional ....lol

I joined the group mid april and would like to join in the accountability thread for May. Basically I'm currently on Day 22 of a 100 day commitment aiming for a 500 calorie deficit and a 500 calorie burn each day. So far I'm doing great. I've had days over and under but weekly totals are on track. This is my focus. I'm…

I've been walking to Leslies Party Hits a lot lately. In May I want to burn over 500 calories each day using my fitbit and Leslies walks when needed.
