My husbands really supportive too. He loves cooking and us kind of semi-retired. He needs more calories than me so he often has extra toast or a muffin or a bowl of fruit or yoghurt. I can see him try to do this away from me a little so he is not eating in my face :). He does love to go to restaurants and red wine though -…

Happy Birthday susu and congratulations on the weight loss. I have a fitbit too and love it. I've been working on 10000 steps a day and am on a bit of a streak at the moment. I do the Leslie sansone walking dvds in front of tv at night to lift my step count if needed. This is a great group

Just want to share this pic. All these women weigh 69kgs or 154lbs. Really helps me with body acceptance

The yo-yo dieting and history of weight watchers, jenny craig, nutrisystem, medifast etc etc. is so common. MFP has been the exception for me. I rarely spoke to other attendees/clients and certainly didn't open up in the way I can on MFP. Here I can hear from people just like me about their successes and failures,…

It's great to be able to live normally -and go out with friends - and still manage your weight.

Hi heart :), So sorry to hear of the sadness you have been through. Life can be very challenging but so worth it. You have lost 37lbs which is absolutely fantastic! Congratulations. I'm 51 and my husband is 63. We are both fit but his family has a very long history of heart conditions. Our second son has high functioning…

I've taken a leaf out of your books and had a good look at my friends list. I've deleted those who havent logged in for quite some time (except for 2 old friends who I know were committed once as I dont want them to come back and feel worse). Anyone in this group who would like another friend please add me. I've had my…

Hi all, My name is Maree - I'm 51 and I am married and have 3 sons (22, 19 and 17). I've been on MFP for almost 3 years now ( wow that time flew by). I lost a stack of weight in the first 15 months (woman on a mission) and then maintained well for the next 8 months until I turned 50 at xmas time. Gradually a few extra…

I've just started 5:2 - my first fast day was yesterday and I had 534 calories. It will probably take a few fasts and trying different ideas to work out the easiest strategies for me. Here are my mini-goals * stick to 500-550 calories on fast days * run 3 days a week * stick to 1500-1600 calories on non-fast days * jump on…

I had an ultra, then I upgraded to the Flex, then I upgraded to the Force. The band on the force irritated me so I didnt wear it at night. I lost it about 9 weeks ago, It was only a few months old. The clasp wasnt very secure. I was pissed off. I've gone back to using my Flex from today. I really missed tracking the…

I use ismoothrun. It has a metronomone you can configure and turn off/on. It exports to runkeeper and to fitbit. I'd like to pick up a polar hrm to sync with it too. I think it was about $6. Love it and you can make feature suggestions to the developer and he's does reply and act upon Hth
