Not at all. If you need to modify it, do so. As long as you are getting out there and running. Also, start with running outside, it is very hard to start on a treadmill and then outside.

C25K is a great program! Just make sure that you have the right shoes. Go to a running store and have them fit you for shoes. They are a bit pricey, but are well worth it. They will safe your hips, knees, shins, ankles, feet, and back. I have been running for about a year now and have completed a half marathon, several 5ks…

THANK YOU!!!! We absolutely are a "if it feels good, do it" generation. Honestly, I don't feel sorry for them. They have made the choice to eat that way. All I can do it be accountable for myself and teach my son how to have a healthy life style and hope that he continues that with his own kids.

It's not a big deal, it's one day. You may have some water retention but nothing to truly worry about. Just get back onto your normal schedule tomorrow. Burning extra calories or not eating back you calories tomorrow isn't going to change anything.

Let your body rest. Like you said, you don't want to make yourself worse. Talk a walk and get plenty of fluids.

That is great! Keep it up! You are a strong woman, you CAN do this :) I am so sorry that you have been bullied. I honestly think that people bully in order to make themselves feel better. You are obviously much stronger than you thought!! "I can" are great words to live by. Keep it up!!

I loath running on the dreadmill, but sometimes I have to do it. I have to put a magazine over the time and distance because I am constantly looking at it and it feels like FOREVER! I would much rather run outside. Even though it is harder, I love it!

Same for me! Sometimes I do take Tylenol to ease the cramps then go for a run.

Hi Dan, You have come to the right place. Many of us have been in your shoes so we know what you are going through. The first step is knowing that you need to change and than actually doing something about it. Here are a few things I have learned: 1) It is hard at first and you most likely will fall off the wagon. Learn…

So why not learn to eat right? Wouldn't that just be easier? And less expensive?

What happens when you stop drinking the shakes? Aren't you going to gain the weight back?

Both my husband and son support me like crazy. On nights that my husband cooks, he will make a meal for me that is grilled or baked. My son LOVES just about all types of vegetables :) Every once in a while my husband will bring home a Snickers bar for me.I put it in the freezer and eat it after a long run.

Feel free to add me, as well! I have an 8 y/o and was a single mom for 3 years before I met my husband. My son considers my husband to be his dad. I am also starting nursing school in May!

Are you sure that you aren't confusing pain with muscle burn? I started doing yoga about a month ago, the first few times it SUCKED!! Now I kind of like it. There are times when I am uncomfortable but it's not painful. Same thing when I run, sometimes I am uncomfortable and my muscles are burning, but it's not painful.

I usually have "fat" days when I have eaten a lot of sodium or if I haven't exercised in a few days. Try watching you sodium and see if that works.

1/2 mile may be still too far for her at 11 weeks old. Wait until she is fully grown before you start running with her. If you run with her now, it will ruin her long bones and growth plates.

I have a cane corso that runs with me. I will take him we are going 8 miles or less. On my long runs I go by myself.

The nerve of her for answering your question! You should totally report her! That is just unacceptable

Not at all. Keep it up and you will be running faster. I used to be at 12 minute miles and now I am between 8-9 for shorter distances and 9-10 on ling distances. You will build up endurance and speed over time. Just remember, you a running faster than the people who are sitting on their couches doing nothing! Feel free to…
