I tell them that I want to be around to see my son grow up, be healthy and grow old with my husband, and be healthy for any other children we may have. I also tell them that my father has high cholesterol and high blood pressure and heart disease is prevalent on his side of the family. I have decided to be proactive, since…

I did my first half in July and it was so much fun! Start out slow. Make sure that you pace yourself. I wore a little pouch that had PowerBar Energy bursts in it. I run the first 7 miles with out stopping and ended up running 99% of. Here is a great training program that I used:…

It takes time to lose weight, just like it takes time to gain weight. It doesn't happen over night. Your body needs to get used to it and that will take a little bit of time. It is healthy to lose 0.5-1 lbs a week. Keep it up and it will pay off in the end.

What do you eat before you run? I used to never eat because I thought that it would make me sick. Once I started eating oatmeal, protein bar, power bar, etc it became a LOT easier. When I ran my half marathon over the summer I ate a bowl of oatmeal in the car and than a bagel with cream cheese 20 mins before the race and…

Here's a question for you: When you say that you physically CAN'T do it, do you mean that you feel like you can't get enough oxygen to your muscles? I started running again (for the 3 time) in February. I got to the point where I physically could not run and I had only run a few meters. Previously I had started running and…

Absolutely start slow! When you don't feel like you can run any more, pick a spot (like a tree or a bush) and run to it. Make sure that you have good shoes!!! Add me as a friend if you'd like!!!

^^This! Take this as a learning experience! Life happen and we all fall off at some point. I used to be a stress eater but I have learned how to control it. It took time for that. One night isn't going to ruin everything. Think about all of the good things that are in your life! You have beautiful children and a baby that…

I think she means after she exercises her net calories are at 950. Anyways-everyone has these cravings. The more you workout and eat healthy the less the cravings are. There are times when I will have what I am craving and make sure that I stay under my calorie goal. You can do it! Feel free to add me as a friend!

I loved my epidural when I had my son. I went 8 hours of hard labor (at night mind you, so I was exhausted) when I asked for the epidural. It was WONDERFUL!!! The best thing about it is that is doesn't cross the placenta line, meaning that the baby doesn't get any of the effects. With IV drugs the baby usually feels the…

I usually tell myself that I'll go to the end of this song. The next one comes on and I just keep going. I also heard a great mantra from someone on this site "My legs are strong, my feet are light." I repeat this over and over until my mind goes on auto pilot and I just keep going.

Hello and welcome! I'm in Colorado also! Feel free to add me.

Be yourself! That's the easiest way to find someone that is right for you. Ask friends if they know of anyone that they could set you up with. Check out match.com or Google dating sites based on your religion.

It takes time. The weight doesn't just magically fall off like so many people would like it too. Looking at your profile it says that you used to run. Why not start up again? Eat healthy and start exercising again. Did you run the 25K?

You look amazing!!! Keep it up

Google "Grandmother's Marathon Training Schedule". You can download a novice half marathon training schedule. Your dog gets excited when the running shoes come out. You plan you days and meals around your run. If you are not on a regular poop schedule it can REALLY ruin a run. You look forward to your regular poops :) You are missing at least one toe nail. You have several different running mixes on your iPod and when one of the…

I stretch a little and than go. Find what works best for you. Some people have to do a warm up run and stretch before they run. Others can just get up and go.
