When I did c25k last summer, I started the first half of the program running 6 days a week since I had no issues with this arrangement. I didn't find the first half of the program very taxing. The last half of the program I dropped this to 4-5 times a week to give me time to recover. With recovery days, I could run faster…

It takes a long time to exercise off calories that can be all to quickly consumed...One day will not make/break a diet. As a general rule, I don't make a habit out of trying to exercise away excess calories. I watch what I am consuming so I can maintain while doing a reasonable amount of exercise...

I reduced my per cup sweetener to less than one sweetener packet (1/3 - 1/2) just to take the edge off the coffee bitterness. I sometimes make a pot of coffee and just put one packet in for the entire pot. If your coffee is very bitter, you could use less coffee therefore it would require less sweetener...

I focused my sweet cravings to sugar free no calorie beverages. I then lost cravings for all other food items that contain a lot of sugar. I don't crave sugar much any more... Makes managing calorie intake much easier...

Maybe you should continue with more running segments towards the three miles instead of doing the cool down....Or possibly skip to the next weekly run if the current run is not sufficient. The c25k plan is a guideline...You can modify the plan to suit your needs. I skipped some workouts when I was doing it for this reason.…

Two points: You can't out exercise a bad diet... Its not good to drink your calories even if they are not alcoholic (worse if they are)....

Fast food may fill you up quickly but leave you wanting more in a couple of hours...Try the meat and produce sections of the grocery store if you want 4-5 hour energy...

I have a Specialized hybrid that I have had for over 5 years...Use it for exercise and recreational riding...Still is in good shape... I replaced the tires once so far... I put on less knobby tires since I use it on roads/paths where knobby tires aren't needed....

Try the following: Cut sweet potato in half length wise and heat in oven until soft. Brown a pound of ground turkey. Add a half an onion. Mix in barbecue sauce to taste. Spoon barbeque meat mixture over sweet potato halves. No butter needed... Enjoy...

The opposite problem of the OP: When I am running and I feel that I want to take a breather (typically I am out of breath), if I see another runner/walker/car coming in my direction I will keep going until I have passed them before I slow down...This can be quite a long time if my path is busy...
