I eat tons of fruit. I have to go to the grocery store 3 times a week. Strawberries are my current favorite...You can eat so many, and they have relatively low carbs. I also like to eat almonds and raisins for a snack...I've convinced myself it tastes like chocolate.

Since I started trying to clean up my diet, I really don't miss any of the "dirty" foods....except french fries. When I go on a 2hour bike ride (2000 cal +)...I get a side of fries with my roasted chicken. French Fries...mmmmmmm....It's really the only thing I miss since cleaning up my food intake.

I stopped drinking soda and saw pretty fast results from that, like in 2 weeks. But after that, you are just going to have to be patient. It sounds like you are now doing plenty of cardio, so you just need to be patient.

Yeah, post up every goal you hit, if you want to. Keep up the good work. You're off to a great start!

I count the sugar in fruit, but I know it's better than a packet of white sugar or the sugar in a soda or whatever. I was shocked when I started using MFP to see how much sugar was in fruit...but I track it the same as table sugar.

Im in...I'm at 85 miles of bike riding so far in July...
-
HMMM...My goal was 200 by the end of this year, but maybe I'll try for 199 to be in onederland too.

Because I am lazy, and because bad food tastes sooooo good.

I bought a bike, and I fit 2 or 3 2-3 hour bike rides into my week...It burns so many calories, I usually add a large order of McDonalds Fries to one of my meals on cycling days, and I still lose weight that week.

At work they ALWAYS bring in crap; cookies, cupcakes, candy...there is always junk to eat. I used to be the biggest eater of this stuff as it was closest to my desk...I figured a cookie here and there couldn't hurt but it did. If i ate one, I ended up eating the whole thing of cookies or fudge bars or whatever. I just made…

I am motivated by lots of things: My butt fits completely in my Mazda Miata's seat for the first time in years I love the thought that I will have to buy new clothes I like that I get less tired when I have to do any sort of physical activity I love biking local trails just for fun and calorie burning I hated being…

I'm a 5 11 man...when I started I was AT LEAST 250, now I'm 228, and the fat I have bothers me a lot more than before, when I was heavier. I can definitely feel the benefit of less weight...I have a boss at work that walks really fast, and yesterday I noticed I could keep up with him and not feel winded, and still talk. I…

I used to live in Canton, but I had to move for "cough cough" economic reasons. I live in Los Angeles now.

I'm 40. I certainly don't build muscle like my 20year old cousins, but I'm slowly making progress. I never really cared about what I ate, but I kind of want to change my bad eating habits because i don't want to be part of the obesity epidemic.

Baby steps man, and patience. Around August of last year, I couldn't even walk the dog a 1/2 mile without feeling short of breath. This saturday I went on a 38 mile bike ride...You can do it, just stick to it. You will see results, and try to a little more every time.

That's awesome. There's a Jack In The Box fast food near work...I went there once when I was hungry...It tasted like a burnt hunk of rubber with a ton of salt and pepper, slathered with ketchup and mustard on a squishy bun.

I used to eat eggs and sausage or bacon every morning, but I got burnt out on them, and I was hungry not too long after I got to work. Now breakfast is usually two packets of maple and brown sugar quaker oats, with 3 chopped up strawberries and 1/2 a chopped up bananna up in there and two small breakfast sausage…

I was stuck at a plateau...I used to allow myself a "cheat day" on Saturdays...I would pig out like there was no tomorrow...for a while it worked, then it stopped working. I scaled back the cheat day to an order of fries with my lunch ( i really like fries), and I try to stick to a nice clean diet. I also jacked up the…

Good luck..that's a pretty aggressive goal.

You have to be honest, and put everything in your log for the most benefit. Obviously x amount of carbs in oranges has to be better than the same amount of carbs from a ding dong, but I still put them in there.

I wake up hella early to go the gym frequently...330 AM...I usually just put my workout clothes and shoes on, and hit the door. If I stopped to eat or prepare food, it would give me another excuse to not get myself in the gym. I feel hunger pangs on my way to the gym, but I forget about them and just concentrate on my…

7688 calories this week...I got sick of the cardio machines so i bought a bike last Sunday, I rode it Monday/Sat/Sun...I really enjoy riding it around on the designated bike paths with no traffic. I will try the bike paths every weekend day for the foreseable future. Besides that, I do the elipitical and walk at the…

I busted out a couple weeks ago...229.5 last week, 228 this morning...HOLLA AT YO BOY!!!! My diet was decent, but not great, but It's a good compromise between being easy to do, and eating cardboard. I plateaued at 233 for a long time, but then I started walking after work at a local park, and I bought a bike last week,…

Keep your eyes on the prize, it's difficult but it's worth it. When I realized I was unhappy with my weight, I cut out sodas and beer, and it made a HUGE difference...I wasn't retaining as much water weight, and the quick weight drop was motivational. I pretty much just drink water/ sparkling water/ with or without a twist…

Cardio and diet make the biggest changes. I lift weights just for fun. I got sick of the cardio machines in the smelly gym, so I walk at a local park, and I bought a bike a week ago...a lot more fun than a machine...walking, biking, skating, etc are all much more fun than cardio machines in the gym.

A cheat day every 10-14 days will keep you sane. I used to have a cheat day every Saturday, where i would pig out like there was no tomorrow...but I plateau'd...and the only way i could bust it was by scaling back...A day won't make a difference...rather than cutting calories, I personally would do more cardio…

In So Cal I like El Pollo Loco...just don't get fries or tortillas. Also avoid the churros or ice cream. Usually I'll eat a 3 piece with pinto beans and corn cob or side salad, and a glass of water. You can take the skin off if you are really hard core.
-
Yes...that's why I stopped tracking it daily...I check once a week, sunday morning, after my morning workout, before breakfast, at about the same time, everytime.

I used to live in Canton, but the sucky economy required a big change, so I moved to Los Angeles. I used to love to hang out on Belle Isle sunday mornings reading the paper watching the freighters sail by.
