Well, I didn't start in January. I started on March 15, but close enough I guess. I don't know how to post pics or I would but they are on my profile. I am 5 foot 9 1/2 and started at 214 and as of today was down to 153.8 pounds. Down 61 pounds in 9 months and still going.

Yes this is normal. I still struggle with it some days although I am finding that there are days where I feel thin...so I think my mind might be catching up to the rest of me. I would never when I started this that the hardest part of the journey would be the learning not to see myself as the overweight girl. Hang in there…

I loved your post and as most people have said here can relate. I have to agree you are trying to change too much at one time. I actually started with a diet pill called skinny fibre. I didn't stay on it but it did show me just how much I was eating. From then on I just tried to eat less at meals. Some time after that I…

You can do this...I used to be the same when I was stressed or sad...like the previous poster sad I now find other ways to cope with stress. I like to run on the treadmill as well as journal how I am feeling. It helps to process what is going on in my life. Just figure out what works for you. It might take some time but…

You are so right. It is those small goals that keep us going. For me my victory for last week is that I got my exercise in every day and maintained my weight. Those are my current goals for each week. I figure if I can do that everything else will eventually follow.

That is awesome...you look amazing!

Congratulations on your success...it just goes to show it is never to early to make a change. I am nearing 50 myself...in three years, thanks for the inspiration.

I got up to 300 calories jogging for 30 minutes.

Not sure...I have a hrm and feel like it estimates my calories burned high as well. I don't usually worry and only use it as a guide.

I am so sorry that happened to you. I was bullied myself as a child and throughout my teenage years by people just like this. One of the things that I have come to realize is just how insecure these type of people are. I is pretty sad that they have to feel better about themselves by putting others down. Now that I am…

You look fantastic...great reward system you have! I love it. Keep it up you are definately a success!

I started with them but only took them for one month as like others have said the pill also promoted healthy eating and exercise. So why spend 60.00 a month when I didn't need too. I will say they got me started for which I am grateful but glad that I did not stay on them long. They did help me to see just how much I had…

That is great...you have done fantastic. I have been at this for about 7 months myself and am only down 49 pounds. Thanks sharing your story :)

Bump...I am interested in the answer to this as well

Thanks, that helps...I am a slow runner, or at least I was in high school and I don't think that will have changed but I have decided not to be self conscious about it like I was back then. I have decided that I am not going to be defeated before I even start. I am doing this for me and no one else so if I am a slow runner…

I have been working at it since March of this year. My reasons are pretty much the same as everyone here, basically I want to be healthy. As it says on my profile I am a type 1 diabetic and it is essential that I live an active lifestyle to be healthy. I completely understand about how difficult work can make things. I…
